I think that the exodus of Tory MP's who see themselves at threat may break the government down.

Cameron is playing Hold Fast instead of fast and loose. Which is the only way he'll survive this. Recently the Israeli ambassador to the UN said that the Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. History may say the same about Cameron.

He is facing a huge opportunity to do serious damage to Labour and form a strong centre right government coalition instead of a wishy washy centre right, centre left government.

Someone is co-ordinating this from UKIP. It has to be an ex Tory because only an ex Tory would have the knowledge of how best to dismantle Cameron. The point is the climb down would be better now than in 6 months time....

Let's see how Rochester and Strood go. If that falls UKIP, then the flood gates will open as it is around 270 on the list of UKIP targets... Because if enough Tories go over to UKIP, then there will be an early election anyway and you can bet there will be deals going at the grass roots level Tory campaign. Also you can bet that if those moves do bring the government down, they will translate to seats in a general election. Because the people will have seen the direct result of their democratic vote and won't forget it.

I was on a family member's facebook page recently and I was totally shocked to read the venom directed at UKIP. Everything negative that could be found against UKIP was identified, but curiously there was nothing positive. They likened UKIP to the Nazi party and Nigel Farage to a pig. I think I was the only one showing support for UKIP and the exciting possibility of change from the two party system of old. I was rounded on savagely for expressing my opinion. I didn't stay to debate the issue - I knew it was a lost cause!

Medsec, they sound like the kind of people who are outraged that anyone dare hold an opinion that is contrary to their own, an can't rationalise or debate, so just resort to abuse.

There is little rational debate any more. If the main parties call someone racist then they are racist. If you say that uncontrolled immigration is bad for the country, then you are racist. If you say that xenophobic people coming into the country are racist, then you are a monster and a racist.

13 years of Labour under a lying scumbag has made a large section of the UK small minded. They like that because you can control what that small mind thinks...

It has been noticeable over the past few months, maybe longer, that people have become more challenging when epithets such as racist, bigot etc. are thrown out to stifle debate. A lot of people are now demanding that the small minded ones come up with alternative views and to engage in the debate or for them to crawl back under a stone.

No worse than me trying to talk to my Brother medsec. I get shouted down. So I don't discuss it with him. People like him will, I think, be getting a rude surprise come May.

Ve people can become almost savage and very nasty if they do not agree with ones point of view and they Gang up...I discovered this when I was writing regarding Pathway and euthanasia being used as par for the course in our hospitals a couple of years ago... "Now virtually legalised" The fury, yes and insults, nasty comments, so much so I stopped writing on not one but two forums and have never written on them since. Thank heavens for VV the best in my opinion on line. I might irritate a few with my opinions however I have never received nasty comments if individuals don't agree ..

When I took my UKIP membership, mainly to give them some money and to see what they were saying internally, I ticked the box which says "Be involved in policy making".
