STRICTLY

Anyone watching it this year ?

I think the standard of the production has greatly improved, and I'm really enjoying it.

---and I really haven't missed Bruce.

I have watched it for the first time this week - the draw of Donny Osmond was to great to ignore. I have never watched it before because of Bruce. I cannot stand the man - he should have retired years ago. He was embarrassing to watch.

I am very pleased that they tell you who is the celebrity and who is the professional dancer (although with most it becomes very obvious once they step on the dance floor) as I have no idea who most of the celebrities are.

I found the costumes of some of them very odd - one woman looked like she was a milk maid and what was that man in the crab costume all about!

I will probably dip in and out now and again if there is nothing better to watch (its a Saturday - of course there is nothing better to watch. It is the worst night for tv out of the whole week) but I am not sold on it. Cheap entertainment, just like X-Factor, Big Brother, etc.

Twelve million views tell us how popular the programme is, and how much more popular it is than X Factor (much to Cowell's annoyance)

The only problem with it as far as I can see is that there are some excellent and promising celebrity dancers and another group who are really crap. There seem to be no middling ones at all this year. The very poor ones will be voted out one by one as we expect (providing the British voting public do the right thing) and then the final few weeks should be a real battle with those excellent contestants all fighting against being voted out.

I think the presenting duo is proving to be quite successful, despite all the negative comments in the press. No-one seems to be missing Brucie at all. Quite the contrary.

Very impressed by Jake Wood. A real dark horse in the competition ....

I don't think he is a dark horse Ossie, I think he has shone from week one. The dark horse is Sunetra in my opinion.

I am enjoying it this year, mainly because there are a lot of good dancers and no runaway immediate finalists.

For once I had heard of all the celebs apart from Caroline Flack. But that never bothers me as you get to know them as it goes along and the professionals are my reason for watching mainly anyway.

Not sure its cheap TV Debih, not when you consider how much they pay them to take part. Plus it is beautifully staged and costumed. The X-Factor and BGT, they ARE cheap TV

He holds Joanne like he hasn't got a clue what this thing in his arms is, which to be fair is probably true.

There are always at least a few weeks with the 'wrong' people being in the dance off, but at least so far they've had a bad one in there to vote off :)
