Oh deary me

The pile of lies falls thick and still around...

As predicted; do they think the Scots just sat down and forgot about September?

11,000 jobs to Scotland is the same as 110,000 jobs to England.

SNP, come on down. May is going to be a most interesting election. I'll have to make sure I'm home and have full satellite coverage for the whole election. Someone is going to take a kicking and it's not the SNP. Another few months of this and we'll see no Tory MP's left in Scotland..... Again! What is more interesting is we may also see no Lib Dem's left either.....

This is most amusing. Although I'm guessing it will be causing total rage up North...

[edit]

And Fallon can say whatever he wants. The contracts won't be signed till After the next election! We've heard that one before....

If they made a promise they should keep it, end of.

Politicians do not make promises, they make statements that sound like promises, Theresa May cleared this up the other day.

We all thought that the government had promised to reduce the number of immigrants to ten of thousands from hundreds of thousands. What actually happened was that it "commented" that such a thing is what it would like to see happen.

Clear?

I confess, I only read what they say; the ability to go beyond that into the nuances of politico speech is indeed beyond me!

What we need is a website which subjects political speeches and promises to statistical and logic analysis. Graded in numbers from 0 == "No commitment" to 10 == "full commitment".

If any statement from any politician exceeds 4 I'll be hugely surprised....

However, making rash promises you have no intention of fulfilling, 8 months before a general election, is, to my mind, somewhat myopic.....
