They have let me bring Candy home.
The scan showed Candy has a mass at her pancreas and obviously this could be what is causing the blood sugar problems. They would have to do a CAT or MMR to see fully what is going on but they feel this wouldn't really help because of her age/health and the fact there isn't anything they could do if it was cancers(which they suspect).
They told me I could take her home tonight and to bring her back tomorrow morning for more tests to see whether they should restart the insulin.
They were quite frank with me and told me she is living on borrowed time and her end is near.
As I was leaving vets with her they told me to give her lots of food, cuddles and to generally spoil her tonight.
I have a feeling that if the blood sugar isn't under control by tomorrow then they may be looking at euthanising her, if not tomorrow, then very soon.
I'm obviously gutted but, tbh, I didnt think she would have made Christmas past so everything is a bonus now and, though I'm gutted, I know she's had a great life and we've done everything possible for her<---that's me being brave!
Anyway she is now cuddled up in a blanket and lying next to me purring quietly. I'll post a couple of photos of her later tonight to let you all see my lovely old lady.
