Morning all :D

Bright and sunny and promising to be another scorcher here 8-)

We need to pop out for some shopping, afterwards we'll detour into town so we can have a nice stroll around the harbour.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

It's a real scorcher here. Both our air conditioners will be working flat out before long, no doubt.

Hope you are all enjoying this bit of Summer.

I wonder how long it will last.

Morning all - a lovely lovely day and I'm inside :(

Got the painter at the house this week... was hoping that he'd finish the lounge today (replacing the window sills and plastering and touching up bits and bobs) but given the weather it's better that he starts in the dining room which will be cool in the morning and then moves to the lounge in the afternoon... the lounge gets the full morning sun and then once it moves over the house, the dining room is in full sun and gets really hot. So I've said to him to rather do mornings in the dining room and afternoons in the lounge otherwise it'll just be really really unpleasant; so that's what he's doing. Doesn't make all that much difference to me and will make it a lot better for him

Good luck with the pool filling Ton - fingers crossed it's nearly full come the weekend :D very exciting.

(((Kaz))) - thinking of you today

and everyone else, have a lovely day - stay cool and enjoy the sunshine! xxxx

It's a hard life
Sat in the garden smelling the roses
And sipping a cold drink
Got to make the most of it whole we can
Hope everyone is having a good day

(((((Kaz))))) Thinking of you today xxx

Joe's gone out to the park with his friends, Tom's still in bed
Every window is open and the fan is on. I honestly don't know how our joined on neighbours do it. They never have any windows open, I've noticed that in previous Summers too.

It was lovely in the woods this morning. We walked for about 4 miles, it was a nice temperature for walking then and lovely and shady.

Thank you all, for the hugs and kind words :) Hasn't it been a scorcher? Dad loved hot weather, it really suited him, he would have been happy out in it today, or in his garden 8-)

Well, I've done a zumba class in terrific heat ( ) then walked up to D's (best part of two miles) totally flopped out in her nice cool living room for a couple of hours, then plodded back in scorchio temps, via the GP surgery where (luckily) I finally picked up my prescription!  I've been slathered in factor 50 all day, but am still red as a beetroot in the face! They have showers up where I do zumba, so I managed to get changed out of my gear and into a clean top etc, but I was still really hot and bothered by the time I got up to D's!

Kaz, well done for braving zumba in this  I've avoided the gym so far this week. It's air conditioned but it's not very good, the lowest setting is 18c which is a bit much when working out anyway, plus there are large windows all around and the sun is on the cardio section in the mornings. It's evil.

No air con up at Walls Social Club, but it's a huge, airy, hall with massive side doors that open onto green fields, so normally it is lovely in there! It was like a bloody oven today  Jane put a big fan on but it only seemed to stir the heat
