Good morning, (just)!

Hope you get something sorted re your kitchen unit delivery, Meriad
Another day in "lockdown". I've been shredding a lot of old documents and Mrs O has been weeding out a lot of old books. We want to make sure our paper / cans recycling bin is full before next week's collection as Dorset County Council have said that will be the next service to be chopped. We are keeping our fingers crossed!
There has been a huge furore following the abrupt termination of the grass collection service, because they sneaked in the announcement on-line just before all the annual direct debit payments for 2020/21 went through on 31st March! (it's £52.50 for the year). I pay by card, so my payment went through back in February when I renewed it. Dorset CC have tried to placate folk by saying at there will be "compensation", without specifying what, but nevertheless, judging by some of the online comments, it's insurrection and pitchforks at dawn down at the County Council offices, (whilst keeping the requisite 2 metres apart, of course ).
In the meantime they have strongly warned that fly-tipping garden waste is an offence. That said, I fully expect to see plenty of piles of cuttings behind every farm hedgerow between here and East Knoyle when this is all over. I've started lumping up piles of our own grass cuttings under the tall shrubs at the end of the garden - the only disadvantage to that appears to be (this being Dorset) it's an ideal habitat for slowworms and grass snakes!
Enjoy your day, all!
