Morning all, sorry for the silence over the last week.
Tom kindly passed his cold onto me and I think having that and Covid in the space of 3 weeks really wiped me out. More of a sort throat and cough than a sneezy cold though, I even started testing again in case but no, just a normal virus. Thought I was over it last Saturday so dragged John off the subs bench as Joe’s reserve (as he was in Cornwall) and took him to the match and then slept much of Sunday. Went again, with Joe that time, on Tuesday night and went back to bed on Wednesday morning after walking Bill. Definitely definitely feel like I’m over the worst now though *touch wood*.
Anyway, it’s pouring down here. I need to go to Home Bargains shortly because I’m almost out of washing powder and I’ve got bedding waiting to be washed. There’s also a huge pile of ironing. It’s just me and John for lunch so I think I’ll make cottage pie. Tom’s at Shannon’s and Joe’s in Liverpool for the weekend celebrating his friend’s 21st birthday. He drove up as they didn’t want to rely on trains due to the weather.
First job though is to dry my hair, I had it cut yesterday and I’m just glad I didn’t pay for a wash and blow dry and just had a dry cut, I was soaked and windswept by the time I got home!
Al and Kaz, I’ve not been watching DOI but I’ve been catching up with Bez’s efforts on his Facebook page. He’s a legend in our house, me and John are big Happy Mondays fans. I shamed Joe in Manchester a few years ago when I spotted Bez in the city centre. I was all “Oh it’s Bez!!” and I can still hear Joe now saying “keep walking, keep walking, don’t go over, don’t you DARE go over”…so I went over to say hello and he was the loveliest fella, had a chat and I got a great photo with him which a very red faced Joe had to be called over to take
Love to you all xx
