I had a call from a neighbour David the other day. He's one of the ones I give eggs to and because they're small 4 egg boxes I ask for them back so I can refill them. Anyway he called me to say that he apparently had mild symptoms, he's been given medication and was feeling fine but still.... just in case did I want the egg box back; I obviously said no
But then yesterday Trish, who lives underneath David popped round to mine to collect some dog food I had bought for her - keeping distance of course. I know that David and Trish don't get on so don't speak to each other so I asked Trish if David had told her that he apparently had mild symptoms and he hadn't which I thought was bang out of order esp as they use the same garden gate, possibly the handrail down the garden path etc. And Trish told me that she saw him pop out to the shops that morning??? Now David isn't stupid and he does have underlying heath issues (prostrate cancer that is being treated successfully) so it would surprise me; but no reason for Trish to be telling me something that wasn't true. Maybe he went to a place to collect a bag left out for him as we do have a few distribution centres set up - but I'd have thought that if he had symptoms he should stay indoors? Or is self isolation if living alone only 7 days - that would then tie in probably?
As said, all a bit odd and I'm sure all is OK - but my biggest issue with this is that David never told Trish and he should have!
