Channel 4 has made a documentary to be presented by Trevor Phillips ex head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and one-time fervent advocate of multiculturalism.
As part of the programme, C4 carried out a poll, and some of the results are shocking:
* 53% want homosexuality banned
* 66% would not inform the authorities if they suspected someone of being a supporter of terrorism
* 39% think that wives should always obey their husbands
* 23% want some areas of Britain under Sharia law
Phillips has now had a change of heart, a bit late in the day. He now thinks that: "The integration of Britain's Muslims will probably be the hardest task we've ever faced" and "Hearing what British Muslims themselves think, rather than listening to those purporting to speak on their behalf, is critical if we are to prevent the establishment of a nation within our nation,"
If only people like Trevor had escaped the dinner party set and listened earlier to what British people were saying and not to those purporting to be speaking for us.
