It was 19C in France this week, sadly I was here in London.
Crommers, we have something like
this in the dining room. It is connected to one cast iron radiator in the living room and we use that for when it is cool but not cold. That one is quite large and I expect it can run most of the radiators for a house. However the company which sold ours on ebay is not selling now.
For the rest of the house it is the 32kw log burning stove in the garage. Incredibly effective but when it is really below 0c you can't keep the house warm all night as the wood always burns out and to try and bank it up overheats the boiler.
Today, for me, it is pellet burner all the way. We are going to replace the main wood burning stove with a pellet burner some time in the next year. This will give us full control over the heating and up to two weeks of running on one hopper fill. For the new games room I'm toying with a pellet burning, in room, stove with a back boiler and putting in radiators to my new office, Mrs S' sewing room, our bedroom/en suite bathroom/dressing room and our separate sitting room. Of course we'll have to finish/start those rooms before it's all ready to use.
