LOL, you said "expect a few tries" .... well, they were some time coming; at one stage midway through the first half with both sides cancelling each other out, I thought I might be reporting back on here it was just the one!
Referee heavily influenced the game in the sense that had Carnegie retained a full compliment of players throughout the match (I thought all the dismissals were over harsh), I doubt Moseley would have got anywhere near the try line, and Carnegie would have eventually walked it. As it was, we got a very absorbing final 20 minutes and a nail-biting finish. Result was quite fair, though, in the event.
Anyway onwards and upwards. Today it's table-topping Stratford Town at home to third place Merthyr Town (3 points behind and 3 games in hand!), an encounter which unfortunately has all the hallmarks of a goalless draw, and tomorrow Aston Villa Ladies v Reading Ladies in the FAWSL Division 2, which based on all the previous Villa games I've seen this season, I can confidently predict as 0-1 !
