We haven't seen UKIP in power yet Aggers, so we don't know what if anything is lies. The point I make is that the smaller Parties can only achieve so much when in coalition with a larger Party. I do think it is right that they give the electorate a decent account of their aims. Like yourself, I do hope UKIP manage to gain a decent number of seats.

Yes, Medsec, I guess you're right.

It looks like being an interesting election, doesn't it?

They are getting my vote Aggers and hopefully they will get a great many more.

Another point about not having a decent manifesto is that they lay themselves open to the accusation that they are a one trick pony. They need to convince the electorate that they are not.

Perhaps not medsec, perhaps they need to convince the public that Labour is a one trick pony which has achieved their stated goals and are now hanging around to gain money, power and influence.....

I think the public are almost ready to believe that.

The Tories never made any bones about it. They want to run the country so it functions, makes money and created jobs for the people. They're not so "social" but they believe that social comes from the ability to afford it.

So in my mind Farage and UKIP need to focus on what they want to deliver to the people. Not some overarching manifesto which they will never see delivered in my lifetime....

To me that's the equivalent of "never argue with an idiot". The old saying of how they just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience goes double for this political cesspool. UKIP are better not trying to do the impossible and focusing on doing the possible..

When we listened to that repulsive supposed comedian Russell something or other, a millionaire with the mouth of a sewer and the brains of a flea who has an unbelievable following as we observed on Question Time, what chance has this country got.

Its a bit of a tightrope to walk Suff. But we have already witnessed that not even the larger parties can deliver when they don't have a majority. I am still of the opinion that UKIP will run a risk without some sort of manifesto to offer other than withdrawal from the EU.

Yes but a full manifesto just opens them up to attack on all fronts. Even people who believe in exiting the EU come from all walks of life and all political leanings. Making the UKIP say what they think about everything means that those who want it can force a bigger divide in their followers.

That, to me, is a bigger tightrope...

I kind of agree with Suff.

UKIP has no history of government or opposition, so it can cherry pick its targets and then build its own arguments around them. The last thing it needs to do is get tangled up with the arguments between Liebour, LieDowns and Torlies.

Farge has, somehow, found a backroom team who know the score. They keep on finding subjects to hurt LibLabCon on a regular basis.

No manifesto - who cares?

It was nauseating the way that Miliband and indeed Cameron attack and twist virtually everything Farage says. "They would sup with the Devil like B'Liar did for gain"
VOTE UKIP, whatever the outcome , this coming election campaign wil show the Labourite louts, the Conservative Cons the Lib Dems up for what they are

If anyone thinks that UKIP can win the next election outright, then they might want to swell the bookies winnings with a little flutter.

The smart money says the UKIP can win no more than 25 seats at the next election. Farage would be very happy with 5, him having one of them.

So why do they need a full and comprehensive manifesto? Only so they can be shot down from all sides. Their role is to fix problems which the main parties won't fix. Our role is to vote for them so they can fix it.

Everything else is a fantasy world spun by the press and the main parties...
