Wedding outfits

Postby Kaz » 27 Jan 2015, 20:31

Well, we are getting there! I have my dress, as posted before, some sandals from Amazon, a silver clutch, a bracelet and earrings from Debenhams (sorry, not on the website) and am currently looking for a silvery wrap/pashmina for my shoulders. Am growing my hair so I can pin it up :)

B is sorting out her own outfit, but has her eye on two lovely dresses, on a website somewhere (I'll ask her tomorrow and post the links) and some flowery 'flatforms' which are platforms where the foot is flat rather than arched. She'll probably curl her hair :)

Mick has natural coloured linen trousers, a white cotton/linen granddad shirt with 3/4 sleeves, and an embroidered waistcoat, to be worn unbuttoned :) Not got shoes yet.

Harry has a white granddad shirt too, but with black trim and buttons, and a waistcoat with a black swirly pattern on. Still looking for trousers for him, as I'll need him with me to try on.

I am umming and ahhing over shoes for the boys - leather seems too formal somehow and not right for the beach :?: My sister said that when they went to Barbados for a beach wedding P and B wore smart deck shoes the same colour as their linen trousers - what do you think? Or maybe a moccasin type? Sandals? I've never been to a beach wedding before and am unsure................

A pic of the sandals, the link was no use as they've all sold out so the item removed from the website :)

Smart deck shoes matching their outfits sound just fine Kaz. :D

The grandad shirts and waistcoats sound great! 8-)

We got married on the beach - Don wore a crazy Hawaiian shirt he'd picked up in a vintage shop (as you do! ) some cream chinos and really nice leather sandals that matched the chinos. :D

I had a black stretchy dress and black sandals - the sandals cost more than the dress.

One of the dresses Becky is going to buy, although she is now thinking of this for another evening, with it being white ;)

This dress for the actual wedding
