Thanks both... I think I'll plant them up in a row and give that a go; never done it before. But I'll have to pot them into separate pots for now until the hedgehog run is gone because the run is going where the veg will be
We (I say we but they are in D's greenhouse) have tomatoes, sweet peppers, aubergine so far
I have mint, rosemary, parsley and sage in pots here. I have some basil seeds that I'm going to plant in a tray on my kitchen windowsill - I've looked everywhere for basil plants but apparently it's too early, or as the plant stall man in Gloucester farmers' market told me "Thayrrrr too tenderrrr moi deeeearrrrr"
Kaz I just buy basil in a pot from eg Tesco or Waitrose and keep it on the kitchen windowsill. The one I have now was on offer in W/rose for £1. If they grow a lot (which this one is doing) I re-pot them. they keep going for months and I don't really see that I'd ever need more basil than from the one plant - and we use it a lot
I don't know what I've done wrong. About 3-4 weeks ago I planted broccoli, cauliflower, peas, leeks, spring onions, radish, celery, and spinach.i had 1 pea plant out of 20ish grow, 6 radish grow. The celery and spinach were seedlings, and they have not grown an inch, and no other seeds have grown. Green thumbs I have not.
