Dresses at TK Maxx

Postby Osc » 06 May 2015, 17:13

We decided to have a potter around TK Maxx today, I wasn't in the mood (initially ;) ) but saw that they had lots and lots of dresses, which they don't always have and I ended up getting two. This is one of them, may I emphasise that mine is not not not plus size ;) I was pleased to see that it had originally been £190, I got it for €58 :D I can't find the other one online but it is a straight jersey dress in pretty colours in a lovely soft clingy shape, which I got for €34.99. Himself got two shirts and he is very pleased with them.

I was trying to find both dresses on the internet, Kaz, the other one is a label called Afternoon of an Epic :? :? , and it listed them as catering for plus sizes starting at Size 12 :o :o On what planet is a 12 a plus size

Dreadful isn't it? :( I saw something on Facebook about a model who is considered plus size by the fashion industry - at 5ft 11 and size 12 she is actually very slim indeed :?

  I dread to think what size I would need in Spain then!!!

Clothes in Med countries do tend to be cut small though don't they? I bought a floaty top/kaftan thing in Corfu and that was XXL too

Yes Kaz - continental clothes do tend to come up in smaller sizes.

A while back we passed a shop and the mannequin in the window was draped in a lovely dress - I said it would be too small and Don reckoned it was 'pinned' at the back to fit said mannequin.

Wrong! On investigation it was possibly the smallest dress ever! On the label was size x! :o

We love our TKMax here on the island too but we never buy clothes or shoes there we head straight upstairs to the house and home dept for household kitchen goods gardening items ornaments for said garden and they often have here loads of pretty glassware vases dishes and such and great decorative things we don't see anywhere else on the IOM.

We bought two pot/stone? chickens the other day to go on the corners of the chicken coop in the garden when all the plans are completed and finished I hope to have a nice garden to sit in,or on the verada of the summerhouse to be delivered next week, that I then need to assemble lol, that should be fun with Kathy as a labourer for me but first I have to assemble the cement mixer just delivered to mix the concrete for the base for it.

Any willing volunteers get a weeks lodgings with 2-3 days off and great home cooked food. (brag brag), believe me I will need some help and guidance

Manxie xx

Google and Youtube are your friends Manxie :D
Lovely to hear you all enthusiastic about your new garden, I'm sure it's going to be lovely :)

Gorgeous dress Osc, very similar to the black lace one I got the other Christmas :)
Weird about the sizes
Ally that nice dress I bought in Spain thankfully didn't have a size in at all, so I don't need to feel bad :D
