The Hotel Inspector.

Postby Workingman » 28 May 2015, 21:20

I got hooked on this years ago when a lady called Ruth presented it. Then Alex Polizzi took over and it just carried on with the same format.

Tonight she was in Spain at La Casa, Torrox, just down the coast from Malaga. The hotel was spotless and the sisters running it were brilliant people persons, but it was not making money.

The really surprising thing, as with most episodes, was that the solution(s) were so simple yet the owners could not see them.

Ooooh I wish I'd seen this WM - we actually viewed a house there years ago in Torrox Pueblo. It's only about 60km from where we are now. :D :D

It ticked all the boxes re mountainous views and stunning scenery though which made us sure we wanted to settle in the Andalusian province. :D :D :D :D

I like the Hotel Inspector - helped by the fact that I kniw Alex (worked with her years ago).

I didn't realise it was on last night. I will find it on catch up.

Debih, for someone who was born into a rich family Alex is very down to earth. She has an eye for seeing the problems straight away, but presents them in a way that makes us viewers think that we saw them first! It's a great trick to pull off.

Ally, the place was a gem. Set back in a spotless village of whitewashed houses surrounded by mountains, a gorge and almost deserted beaches and in "the best climate in Europe" there was nothing not to like. I even went on google maps for a 'drive' around.
