A new, very young, extremely pretty vet
(Aunty A doesn't work Fridays anyway).
She said what I hoped she'd say, that on really prodding etc she
thinks it is a fatty lump.
She'd have liked to take a sample but it's in a really awkward spot, she'd have had to shave the whole area and didn't reckon she'd be able to get one without sedation.
I said I was happy to wait and watch if she was, so that's what we're going to do.
I 'think' she said that fatty lumps are a side effect of steroids and can often have different characteristics, like this one, harder and more regular than the usual kind. It's hard to concentrate when you're trying to hold a very wet dog still who's panting in your ear, and talking to the vet as well
So we'll keep checking on it and take her back if we're worried.
