Thought I'd go for a cherry topped cake in sympathy for Dorret. :lol:

Don came through from the kitchen wondering what was going on as I was noooooooing and oooooh noooooo at poor Dorret. :lol:

Loved it. No stand-outs for me so far, but quite a few on the edge of being chucked out.

Oh and, and...I've made a proper frosted walnut cake :D
My dad talked one year about them, how they were just walnut, with this white frosting, and I found a recipe - and it was by Mary Berry :D
So I did it for his birthday :)
I didn't now it was meant to be tricky - so it wasn't :D I just did exactly as the recipe said, and made the cake :)
No caramel though, I'm sure they've added that ;)

I love walnut cake - at Tiede's she makes the most divine walnut cake. :D :D

I did laugh at the look on Nadiya's face when she realised everyone else had frosted theirs and she hadn't. :lol: :lol:
