Brum meet 2016

Postby Ally » 24 Jan 2016, 08:29

Yes folks, it's that time again.

Looking at Tuesday 28th June in The Old Contemptibles on Edmund Street which is just a stone's throw from the OJS.

Anyone fancy it? :D

I'm in. :D :D :D :D :D

I'm hoping to come but the couple of weeks surrounding 28th June is a really busy (and expensive) time so I will need to give it some thought.

S has her GCSE's this year and they finish on the 22nd (which does make the 28th a much better date for me), then she has her prom on the 24th, we are at a fancy pants wedding on the 25th (for which we will have to pay for accommodation) and then we are away for the weekend on 1st July - off to Liverpool.

But what will Premier Inn do with the rooms on the 21st?

There'll be board meetings, Lenny might be sent round, the website will crash.

Oh well, that's their problem, 28th will be OK.

Not sure yet - will have to sort a few other stuff out, but the dates are probably better for us - or me, anyway :D

Just to give heads up that the Premier Inn doesn't have any cheap rooms for the 28th June - unless they release them closer to the time - but for now they're quite expensive as the pre-pay saver rate isn't available.

The cheapest now seems to be Travelodge on Moore Street

or the Briar Rose (where I've booked - book now and pay later and can be cancelled ;) )

I'm happy to check now and again and wait for a decent rate, it worked last year. It's when we all check around the same time that it shoots the prices up. We need to take the b*ggars by surprise :P :cute:
