I was riveted from start to finish...some cracking good acting.

Suffice to say I'll be tuned in next week...thank goodness my Tuesday salsa classes don't start until after this series finishes!

But they need to speak up! With the mumbling and terrible sound levels, we had the volume turned up to twice normal and still struggled to hear what was being said a lot of the time

Yes there have been many complaints apparently about the poor sound, from Sarah Lancashire and generally from the whole production. I think we may see an improvement in the next episode - that is if they listen to their viewers' complaints.

I struggled too I have noticed in recent years that the BBC have problems with poor sound, even BBC Breakfast, and certainly some of the dramas At least they seem to have stopped making everything far too dark - remember Jamaica Inn??? That had the mumbling and was pitch dark

It'll have been recorded and 'in the bag' months ago Rodo so that isn't likely....I ended up watching it again on catch up with the subtitles on, much better!

At least it isn't dark....well at least not in a lighting way
