In 2 hours, the eye of cyclone winston will be above them. It's a category 5 storm with predicted sustained winds of over 300km/h.

I thought it was about their rugby team.
The weather in every part of the world seems to have gone crazy with more storms being reported.
Have been looking at some photos I took when we visited Haiti on a cruise after the storm which did a lot of damage several years ago. Most of the houses are not built to withstand very bad weather.

We are still waiting for news out. It's passed over and the few photos I've seen on Twitter don't look too good.

It has turned out to be the most powerful cyclone in the southern hemisphere in recorded times. (So they say, but I'll wait for conformation)

Yes Aggers you are right, 180mph.

Our Met Office is reporting winds of 205 mph and waves of 40 ft. News is that power and water supplies in Suva, the capital, are out.

It sounds horrific, news reports are very sparse which I guess is because most power is out.
