In the late afternoon the BBC was reporting from Brussels Place de la Bourse where a peace gathering was taking place. One group of about 100 was described as "fascists" who had 'stormed' the makeshift memorial service and were chanting anti-Muslim slogans.

On the next episode these demonstrators had been downgraded to being "far-right" and were being moved on.

The BBC has now downgraded them again to being "hooligans".

Meanwhile over on Sky it got it so wrong at one time by describing them as "anti-fascists". It has now gone for 'hoodlums'.

By the morning I expect that they will have been "bad boys and girls who need a slap".

Talk about the media trying to steer the agenda.

According to the Guardian a video (now withdrawn) had been posted on Facebook showing young Belgian Muslims celebrating the Brussels attacks. Maybe the football hooligans had seen that video as well.

Funny how the BBC, Sky and ITN never give us that side of the story, eh?

According to the media the bad guys in all of this are those who criticise the terrorists. How did that come about? No, don't bother, I already know.

The only allowable reaction seems to be to stand around holding hands and singing "We shall overcome".

Imo the authorities are terrified of people becoming really angry. Understandable I suppose but the non-stop propaganda does get on one's wick.

Plus the Belgians using water cannon on their own people demonstrating, whilst (essentially), leaving terror cells unmolested at this time.

Belgium seem to think that you can treat this like a criminal event. Forensics, follow up, catch the perpetrators and it’s “job done”.

They have no clue at all. They need to be on top of them, in front of them and hammering them every time they make a move. Reacting after being hit is simply not going to fly. Eventually the Belgian people will work this out and it’s going to be ugly.

The press and media, meanwhile, show their total bias in their reporting.

It seems that it has now become illegal not to toe the line.

I see the articles disappeared as quickly the appeared. That might be because those making anti-Muslim chants were not of any political persuasion. They were football supporters (hooligans) who turned up to show their displeasure that the love, peace and give us a hug brigade had formed an unofficial gathering when the official one was called off for security reasons.

A question for the Belgian police might be: Why wasn't the unofficial gathering also moved on?
