Man with no backbone collapses.

Good riddance, I have no sympathy for him, but why hang on till October?

Invoke Article 50 then let a new leader take on the negotiations. You have no mandate but to do anything else.

I laid my head down at 06:30 and got up again 2 hours later. But I do have to work today.

Geert Wilders has demanded a referendum, there's noise in the Danish political world and Le Pen is likely to get a Huge boost from this.

I wonder what the Greeks think? They were slaughtered at the altar of EU integration only to find all that pain and suffering has gone for naught...

My mind has a few sardonic thoughts going around. Like "Come and join the commonwealth, we'll sponsor you" for Denmark and Holland. At least the royalty is already related.....

If we accept that this is a fractured country, and we have little choice but to move on playing the cards we have now dealt ourselves, I wonder if there isn't a case for a Government of National Unity, comprising the best politicians and minds from across all the political spectrum.

As long as they are prepared to put their own personal and party political agendas aside, I would have no objection to people like Nicola Sturgeon, Martin McGuinness, Carwyn Jones, Gisela Stuart, Hilary Benn joining Michael Gove, Boris, Andrea Leadsom in playing a major role in renegotiating our relationship with Europe and taking the UK forward.

Just a couple? There are so many of them they fitted wings on the pig pen....

Government of National Disunity? When did Sturgeon ever do anything for the UK? She wants to remain in the EU, she'd torpedo any talks as fast as she could because she's really worried about the near 40% of Scots who voted to Leave and whether that would translate into just enough for another Indyref with a Yes result.

There is no way Sturgeon wants to follow Salmond into the night...
