Look, I am not angry with the result. It was always going to be too close to call and either side could have won.

What I am angry about is that during the campaign the Leave side constantly said that Remain were lying and that they, Leave, were truth-telling Angels. It now turns out that both sides were as duplicitous as one another, both lying through their teeth.

It will take years for Leave's promises to take effect, well those that are not dropped to make for a 'manageable' situation. What happens in the meantime is crystal ball stuff - nobody knows.

Done. Finished. Over. Time to move on.

Kaz, Cameron may have gone but there are those who are worse than him and it looks like they are coming our way-not a nice thought for me!

Suff I think a lot of Scottish people were maxed out on elections and that is why so many didn't vote. Personally those who don't vote annoy the life out of me. They sit and complain about everything and then when they have a chance to change things, they can't be bothered. Even if they turned up and marked their ballot paper with the word abstain" it would make me feel better!

WM, as I said before, the result, for me, was always going to have a positive no matter what way the vote went but, if it wasn't for the chance at another referendum for Scotland, I would be gutted. I know there are valid arguments from both sides but, overall, I think the EU was good for us and wish we had remained.

Shaz, Theresa Villiers, NI Sec, said quite clearly earlier that the Scots went into their Independence referendum knowing full well that the UK was going into an in/out EU referendum. She said that they had their chance to go for independence and turned it down.

Putting aside the lies promoted, by both sides in both referendums, she is right. We Remainers are not going to get another referendum just because we do not like the result, no matter how it was achieved, so the same goes for the Scots.

Like it or not it is up to the UK government to allow, pass legislation for, another Scottish referendum. It looks as though that will not happen regardless of what Nicola and the SNP want.

If the Scots do get their way then why shouldn't we in Yorkshire, similar size in population, get the same?

For me there are times when we should all work together, and this is one of them.

I respect your POV WM but disagree with it. I firmly believe there will be another Scottish Referendum and there is a really good chance the result will be different this time. However, I do concede, that like everything else just now this is just guesswork because I seriously don't think any of us can accurately predict the face of the UK over the next few years.

Would the people of Yorkshire want the same? I thought they voted to Leave?

Now you see that's just the attitude which drives the Indyref. I know you know the difference WM but let's just state it here for pedantry.

Yorkshire is a "Region" of the Sovereign Country England and always has been since 1066.

Scotland is a Sovereign Country which was joined with England and Wales to make Great Britain by the Act of Union in the United Kingdom parliament.

Scotland's referendum was a vote to see whether the Scots wanted to withdraw from the Act of the Union.

If Yorkshire wanted to secede from England, it would have to first hold a referendum and get a ballot from the majority of it's residents to declare itself an independent country. It would then have to petition Westminster and the Queen to be recognised as a country then, given that both agreed, would need to register itself with the UN and constitute a government.

The two are so far from being the same that hey don't even belong in the same dictionary, let alone comparison. My biggest regret in the Indyref was that most Scots didn't read the English social media where Scotland was, constantly, likened to some kind of Northern Region of England. Had enough Scots seen that, then the result would have been significantly different.

Shaz, according to the law Nicola can call for a referendum every day of every week, but if the UK government does not pass the legislation it does not happen. Just saying.

As for Yorkshire, we voted to Leave the EU, but why can't we get away from London as well?

I do know that but I believe the legislation will be passed that allows another referendum although it could take a few years. However I think we all had enough of the Scottish Independence question last year and, until such times as we get another referendum, it can be put aside!

Anyway back to Brexit. I see the Eu has said they want us gone as soon as possible. With that in mind how long do you all think it will be until we are out of the Eu and who are you thinking will be our next PM?

Yes I've read all that and watched the videos. I also noted that they all told us that they didn't want us to leave because it would be bad for them.

My response to them is exactly the same today as it was then.

I don't care what you want because it would be "bad" for you. This is about what the UK needs and only about what the UK needs.

If it's uncomfortable for you, then you should have thought about that when you were telling us that the UK could not change the EU, that the UK would do as it was told and that if the UK wanted to be in the club the rest of the club could tell the UK what to do.

Now this is about what the UK needs to do and the ONLY decision on this is by the UK. If you don't like the impact to your "club" go do something about it.

I don't know who will be the next PM. Obviously Boris has a good shout but we have to remember how the Tory party works. The MP's propose candidates and then make a shortlist of two. Then and only then can the Tory party vote on one of the two candidates.

In this case we know that the majority of Tory MP's were not for Brexit, so the contest is likely to be fractious at best.
