Morning all :) It's starting sunny here, but lots of rain forecast for later  Zumba first thing, then up to see D to have lunch with her. Becky is packing, only two days until she goes!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Nice and dry at the moment, not sure what the forecast is. It's only a few weeks till schools break up, hope the weather improves by then.

More messy plastering going on today, Steve hopes to have the extension and lounge ready for the first stages of decorating by the end of next week. It's all a slow process, they'll be here for quite a few weeks yet, but it's nice to see it taking shape.

We're off to the cinema this afternoon to see Independence Day: Resurgence. Can't believe it's now 20yrs since the original came out :o The reviews are a bit mixed, always difficult to come up with a sequel to match as the element of surprise is gone, but so long as there's lots of action and special effects we'll be happy

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone

Jen, messy for now but so worth it when it's done... bet you can't wait! Enjoy the cinema later today.
Ally - it is really only 7 more days? :o Gosh, that's gone quick - for some reason I keep thinking July is still ages away; time is flying by. But really looking forward to the 5th - huge fun! Just got to remember to head to Euston vs work!
Ton, enjoy pootling about. I love watering the garden, such a calm and relaxing job (esp when glass of wine in hand!) ;)
Kaz, enjoy your day as well. I was thinking about B last night; thinking it wasn't much longer before she was heading off. She must be so very excited.

Usual work day for me, heading out for lunch with a colleague though which will be nice. And then normal evening home. Apparently they're expecting rain later today so definitely no excuse to not tidy inside

Have a lovely day all, whatever it is you're up to

If I walked around at 6.30 in the morning, with a glass of wine in my hand, Grumpy would be seriously worried

Morning all,

Jen, at least it's taking shape. I always felt that when we came to plastering most of the hard stuff was done... Not that we don't have most of another house to finish.

I've just booked a hotel for my Grandson and myself for Fri/Sat as he's coming up to be measured and choose a Kilt outfit for our middle daughters wedding at the end of August. Seems He's been looking around and has decided that a suit is just a suit but a Kilt outfit doesn't age and can last him for decades (assuming he doesn't spread out like me)..

Dull and cloudy here. My office is in the coolest place in the house and the back door is open so I have my jumper on. Just as well the sunburn I got on Sunday is still settling.

Have a great day all.
