The Eagle has flown.

Angela Eagle has dropped out of the Labour race leaving Owen Smith (who?) to challenge Corbyn.

This shows the problem Labour has got. Members do not want to entertain the old failed guard, but there are no outstanding new candidates for the job. I keep hearing David Miliband's name from the media, but he is not liked nor trusted by ordinary men and women.

Owen Smith looks a shifty little sod to me. As my old grannie used to say "He can make his mouth say anything".

I feel a bit sorry for Angela Eagle, she was obviously upset when she was interviewed tonight. She was the first to stick her head over the parapet and now someone with an eye for the main chance has scuppered her. That's politics i suppose.

A bit sorry, yes, but she did not have to pop her head over the parapet. The ones who do are usually the first to be shot down.

Did she need to do it, and with the timing? That will always remain the mystery.
