Poor Pepper - Updated!

Postby Kaz » 21 Jul 2016, 16:52

:( She has grass seed embedded in her front left paw, and needs an operation to remove it :( She was limping this morning, slightly, and we discussed taking her to the vets' if it got worse, but then while Hannah and I were out it did get worse, and Mick could see pus, so he took her straight up there. They tried without but she got so distressed they are going to put her under :( She has a big bandage on there at the moment to stop her chewing at it :(

Nothing to eat after 6pm, up to the vets' at 9am, then we're to ring after 2pm.

Some vibes would be much appreciated, she's not had an anaesthetic before :?

Oh and this isn't going on Facebook, as I don't want to tell Becky until it's over - she'll only worry and there is nothing she can do, 4, 000 miles away!

Poor Pepper :( Poor you and M too, these animals are such a worry. Lots and lots and lots of vibes coming from me xxx

BTW when Billy had an op, the vets actually called me before the time they'd told me to ring which scared the life out of my when I saw the caller ID. They said that he was making it known that he was feeling well enough to come home

Awww bless Pepper, I hope she is ok xxx

Smudge still isn't right - he's less sleepy and more his usual self that way but he's not eating properly and I think he's lost weight :( I'm at a loss as to what to do....have to take him back to the vets in a fortnight to see if there is any change in his heart murmur and if so, he'll have to go on medication :(

They are sch a worry our little animal children aren't they? :(

Poor Pepper. It's always a worry to leave them at the vet when you can't explain to them that you'll soon be back to take them home. Will they let her home tomorrow afternoon?

Thanks everyone ((((x))))

Jo, that did make me smile though, Pepper is also very capable of making her presence felt ;)

Paddy she should be home by teatime, and it is lovely to see you BTW :) xxxx

Gal I know, it is a worry, and I'm so sorry that Smudge still isn't right :(

Saundra, thanks for the VV vibes, they are pretty magical :) xxx

Ally, thank you - she's our baby, had her since 6 weeks old.

She's snoozing now, curled up by my feet xx

Aww, poor Pepper :(
Very straightforward, but so annoying these stupid little things can have such an (expensive!) effect x
Ps she was spayed though, wasn't she? x

Not sure how expensive it will be, but we have insurance, thankfully!
