Journalists, don't make me laugh, Vic.

Whatever they are I think they train in the same place as their BBC comrades.

The other day the BBC's headline had "the profits of doom" It took about four hours for it to be changed to "prophets" and according to their email I wasn't the only one to notice.

24 hour news means that there is a lot of air time to fill, and sometimes they fill it with daft questions.

My favourite are sports journalists who invariably ask someone who has won a major event - "What does this mean to you?".

Can't they think of a different question?

A few years ago there was a rash of tv journalists saying something like this:- "Mr Smith, your wife has left you, your business has just gone bust, your house has burned down and your dog has just been run over. Tell me - how do you feel?"

Sky, from Nice.

Tell me what happened

There was this van swerving, trying to hit as many people as possible, then he was comiing straight at us - me and my girlfriend.

What did you do?

Was it? Err, we stood there and waved as he drove past..... nice guy, smiling, he waved back.

No! They jumped over the sea wall to save themselves, he smashed his wrist, she cut her leg.

It was embarrassing to watch.
