We are warning members of the public not to approach the adult ostrich.

Good advice. He can become very protective of his cuppa and pie at half time.

.... which reminds me of the time a few seasons back when I went up to the hatch at half-time and indeed did purchase a pie and cuppa. With one in each hand, I returned to the railings round the pitch ready to enjoy my provender. Across the field, the home team's substitutes were out practising and one of them hit a long cross-field ball. Like a rabbit in a trap, I saw this thing coming, but I simply couldn't move :o . One bounce, and it hit me squarely in the .......

I had an extremely painful second half. But not a drop was spilt, nor a crumb wasted. 8-)

Oops!

I'm surprised I've not been smacked in the face with a football before now (especially when Rooney's taking free kicks) when we've sat in the lower tier, because that's the kind of thing that happens to me. Even Joe's said "You're so going to get hit by the ball today...." on occasions

I'll be looking out Ossie, if I can stay awake long enough. Serious after lunch food coma.

I would, however not be so unkind as to try and trash your pie and cuppa. Man's got to have some comforts in life.
