Good morning.

Last night Simply Red were simply fantastic!!!

We got back to the Harrington's place at 1am and stayed up till 3am chatting and having cold beers!

This morning I'm going swimming with Pierce in the huge pool then about 11 the 5 of us are going to walk along the coast from Riviera to La Cala.

Lunch will be taken somewhere on the walk.

Out tonight being a tourist for drinks and a meal.

Temps still very hot but there's a very welcome sea breeze!

Morning all, very dull here and there's a bit of rain in the air - we're forecast a lot later.

First home game of the season tonight (Friday night kick-offs now to add to all of the other times I miss when it was 3pm on a Saturday) so me and Joe are off on the train to Manchester mid-afternoon. I don't normally book night games as we can't get a train home, the last train is about 15 minutes after the game ends and the stadium is 3 miles away from the station, but we booked this before the fixture was 'Skyjacked'. John, bless him, is driving up to get us.

Glad to hear Simply Red are still amazing Ally! We used to always go to see them from the mid 80s to mid 90s. What a voice Mick Hucknall has!

I tried to post before Ally as I was up at 5.00 a.m. I couldn't sleep even though we had a busy day yesterday.
But my post seems to have got lost.
It is not showing in "My Posts" in User Control Panel. And I had both eyes open.
It is raining now so have been for the paper in the car.
Just pottering today.

Bit overcast at the moment, think the forecast is rain.

E and I have appointments for blood tests and BP this morning and then we'll pop into town for some fruit. Not sure what we'll be having for dinner today, hoping I get my new cooker sometime next week. First things first though, Steve's promised to get the washing machine set up temporarily for this weekend, been without it all this week and will be running out of clean knickers soon

Well as mentioned, it's raining here, so I don't suppose I'll be going far today, although with the sound of breaking concrete drifting over the back of our estate (they are working on the big roundabout nearby) I would rather be out! So we'll see

Morning everyone

Well, the early morning fog/mist has finally cleared - it kept coming back - and we now have a cloudy, grey day. Hopefully will clear up later.

Being tourists here too, showing off Castro Verde, Barragem de Roche and various aldeias (villages) to the girls. Their phones are out constantly, as we drive around, taking videos, photos They both really love being here, don't miss the nightclubs - they did that last year

Grumpy out landscaping whilst it's cool ish, I've been wheelbarrowing plants down to the areas we'd like them to be in - just depends on the ground, where we can put them.

We've also got a bit of rain today - as you say Kaz much needed as the lawns are parched - but it's quite warm with it still. Usual work day for me and then dropping off a lot of books and a few other bits and bobs with someone who will try sell them to raise funds for the local hospice. I did quite a cull of all sorts of things when I was repacking the cupboards after painting - it's been quite nice to declutter.

I feel rather lost today - I've left my phone at home. As much as I know I don't really need it, I still prefer to have it on me. Oh well

Lots of rain here now, it started just after I'd posted earlier. Our lawns definitely need it though.

Whether we have a good time tonight is totally out of our hands *glares in the direction of Manchester and the overpaid footballers* Ria, for once it's not the doing of the football clubs, it's down to Sky and their TV scheduling. Evening fixtures aren't so bad if it's two local teams but who are we playing tonight? Southampton! You couldn't get two teams much further apart, geographically! And, of course, as soon as hotels find out that there's an event and a need for rooms they dramatically increase their prices.

We had a busy day yesterday with one thing and another, so will be taking it easy today, ready for the weekend.

Morning all, it is absolutely miserable here, chucking it down Mr Osc won't be playing golf, so we are heading out to a shopping centre in a while to see if we can get him a new white shirt for the wedding we are going to in a couple of weeks. If we don't find a nice one, he still has a couple so won't be stuck, but they do lose that lovely whiteness after a while.

Jo, we'll watch out for you on the telly! Ria, football these days is not about the fans who pay their money year after year, it is all about television money. After all, they have those obscene transfer fees to cover, not to mention the ridiculous weekly wages for the players (very much a hobby horse of mine )
