Good morning Thursday

Good morning. :D

Remember The Whispers song And The Beat Goes On? Change the B for an H. 8-) 8-)

A run for me then back to get ready for my last lesson with the Russian Student 11.30 - 1. :D

Boss Lady is then treating myself and two other teachers to being ladies wot lunch. :D :D :D

I'm then meeting Don to nip to Plaza Mayor for some retail therapy. :D :D

We've changed our Friday night beers and tapas to tonight - David and I have a super uber yomp planned for Saturday that can't afford me to have alcohol in my system as I'll need every ounce of oopmh for it.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Ally that must be quite some yomp, to change your Friday night! ;)  Have a lovely day today :D :D

Saundra, I hope they have a lovely holiday :D :D 8-)

It's raining here  I shall be out in it later this morning, I have Part 2 of my check up with the nurse where I go back for the blood results from last week. I'm impressed with how thorough they are at my surgery, over these MOT-style tests :) Then I'll probably pop in to see D, as she only lives about ten minutes walk from the surgery - only for a quick cuppa though, as I know she's got her Age UK volunteering this afternoon. The rest of my day depends on the weather

Harry gets some GCSE exam results today, fingers crossed!! Later, he's off to his friend's house to stay the night, as they are off to Majorca early tomorrow, for a villa holiday :D :D I spoke to H last night, he is really looking forward to it :D :D :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Fingers crossed for H Kaz. Image

It is a good yomp Kaz - up a mountain, down the other side, along Torremolinos, back through Plaza Mayor, up through Churriana and back to our town. 26kms in total. In the heat.

It'll be a year to the day we did our first yomp together (Caminito del Rey) so we're celebrating. We'll be going straight to Jose's afterwards for lots of beer!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny again 8-)

Good luck to H Kaz.

It's SIL's birthday today so we're off up to Sevenoaks. Z managed to get theatre tickets to see Kenneth Branagh in The Entertainer and they'll be staying overnight in London, we'll be looking after the boys. It will be nice to get away from all the mess here for a little while.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

Rain is forecast here, and it looks though it might start any minute.
I'm off to get the daily paper now.
See you later.

Morning all,

Ally, have a good walk. I always hated doing long walks in the sun, never my thing. Kaz, good luck with the doctors, I have a hypertension reassessment tomorrow at 2pm which means I'm going to have to leave really early on the bike as it's in Sleaford. I tested myself again today and I'm down again to 131 over 82. Hopefully that will shut them up. Fortunately I did not book a cholesterol test as I know I'm 5.8 and they'll nag... One thing at a time..

It's my middle daughters second wedding on Sunday and I'm using the opportunity to get the bike down to Lincolnshire. I'll be heading back up on Monday with my BIL and his family as they have offered a lift, so no crazy transport prices.

I have to pull the bike apart again today as I broke the bearing fitting it last time. Idiot, I know better than that but seem to have forgotten over the last 30 years. Only £50 but a lot of effort to get it done and not a lot of time to get it done in. I'm dropping a bag off at BIL's tonight too, so that I can reduce the amount of stuff I have to haul back home with me in one go, I'll take my big rucksack on the bike too. This is why I drive a MPV, not for the seats, generally, but because I have to do this almost every 6-12 months.

There is some question as to whether I'm going to be retained for another month due to a mess up with the agency notification and a month long notice period. I have a month notice and I've received no formal notification. I could be on for another month's semi holiday... Would be nice and also a chance to nail down another job. But I'm not holding my breath.

Overcast and cool here today. Which works for me as I don't want to be working inside a bike, which leaves me greasy and oily, in a T shirt, when I need to be clean and tidy for Sunday.

After today I'll be sporadically connecting.

Have a great day all.
