Morning all :D

Up extra early today as we're taking the car to Deal for it's annual service and MOT. Left it until the last minute to book again and as I drive an automatic they couldn't arrange a courtesy car while it's being done so we'll get dropped off at the seafront there, have a little stroll and find somewhere for lunch while we wait. It happened last year and so long as the weather stays sunny as it is now it should be a nice way to spend the morning.

The kitchen is beginning to look lovely. One side is almost done and Steve plans to finish the other side by the weekend. Hopefully not long before we'll be able to get back to 'normal' food again. He's planning to start tiling the walls Monday or Tuesday :D

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)

Enjoy your relaxing day Ally :D

Jen, that sounds very exciting, not long now until it's finished! :D :D Funnily enough D is also having her car picked up today, for its annual service, hers is automatic too, a Yarris :) I'm walking up there later to see her, she's not been 100% for the past few weeks, with dental abcesses, on strong antibiotics and being sick ( :( ) she's lost a bit of weight too, so we're a little concerned. It's my sister in law's father's funeral tomorrow, down in Dorset, and D was going, but is really not up to it, so has cried off. I'm trying to get up to see her at least twice during the week lately, so we don't go more than a couple of days without seeing her. Hope she picks up soon, she has a holiday booked in about ten days time, a coach tour of Ireland, with a friend.

B is having a nice time in Vancouver :) Just about to take a look on Facebook to see if she's posted any more pics while I've been asleep 8-) :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

I managed to catch my mom with the pinch, punch first of the month - but then she obviously didn't know about it so I had the upper hand

meant to be a lovely sunny day again so going to get a few more things done in the garden. Got someone from the council coming round later today to clean the gutter; the down pipe is blocked again and whenever it rains it spills over and makes an almighty noise as the water splashes down - never mind any potential damage to the actual building. May do a bit of shopping later on, need to see how mom is doing. She helped in the garden yesterday morning and then struggled with a trip into town; so I think today we'll do a few easy bits so we can do something proper tomorrow (not sure what though as the weather is meant to be a bit iffy)

Jen, that sounds very exciting having the new kitchen nearly ready - what colours have you gone for?
Ally enjoy your day relaxing
Saundra enjoy your day. Brave JK; holiday with a just walking baby is not going to be very relaxing; but such fun watching them grow and develop
Kaz, what a worry about D. Is she taking the antibiotics as prescribed? Our receptionist had some a while back that made her so very ill; she was meant to take them with food which she did, but turns out that with her she had to wait about 20 minutes after eating before she could take them, not right away with a meal as most people do. Hope D feels better soon. Also if she likes it, maybe get her some probiotic yoghurt as that will help settle the tummy as well.

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning everyone

Lovely morning, very hazy over the hills - hence dodgy internet

Jen, that's been a long time for you, with all the hassle and no kitchen. Glad it's nearly done xx

Hope you mil feels better soon Kaz, those anti-b's can upset tums and with an abcess, as Ria said, she'll feel sicky anyway. Hope she's on the mend soon too - and glad B is having a great time in Vancouver.

Ria, an easy day today - let your mom supervise ;)

I have ironing to do and then a cauliflower cheese soup to make. We're off to a market garden tonight - yes, meeting at 7.30   David works during the day, as a landscaper and has his own market garden, so we're going over to pick his brains and hopefully, get some plants too.

Grumpy suffering this morning, tweaked his back yesterday, so he'll be taking things slowly today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing and hugs for the poorly ones xx

   Oops, just remembered that mom and I are looking after Thomas and Amelia tomorrow as Karl and Nadine are working - so that's the plans for tomorrow sorted

Ton, I'm leaving mom to do things that she wants at her pace. She understandably doesn't just want to sit around and do nothing so if she wants to clean or do whatever I'm not complaining

Enjoy the garden market shopping tonight - that sounds like huge fun. And tell Grumpy to take it easy; bad backs aren't to be messed with. Hope he feels back to normal soon x

Aw thanks everyone :) D always takes probiotics when she needs antibiotics, and will be bound to be taking the meds correctly, after all her years as a nurse ;) Hopefully she'll pick up soon now :) xxxx

Saundra, she's an early walker! :D Hope they have a lovely holiday :)

Ria, glad you and your Mom are having a nice visit :D If she runs out of cleaning jobs, there are always a few here ;) :D ;)

Have a nice time at the market garden Ton :D xxx

Morning all! It's sunny here, wherever here is! Just west of Monmouth I think!

My evil husband is sitting here hoping that our boys are sufficiently winding up his mother while getting ready, or not as the case may be if we know them. Aunty Ellen is also incredibly laid back which drives MIL crazy  Joe's sent me several texts asking where we are and what the traffic is like, probably prompted by his grandmother ;) We've just stopped at services and have Starbucks to go and some chocolate :D

Poor D! I hope she's feeling better for her holiday Kaz!

Have a good day all!
