David and I are doing a yomp today. We're starting at Alhaurin's gun club and it's over the Mijas Sierra we go. :D A good 25kms and about 6 and a half hours which will take us nicely up to fall into Jose's for refreshing cervezas!

SCD starts tonight so will be getting recorded to watch lying on the sofa tomorrow morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Hope you feel better today Saundra. xx

Morning all, it is miserable here and we have water dripping through the fan in the shower :( We will be heading off to Co. Mayo in a while and I really dislike driving in the rain. However it is supposed to be dry for the wedding tomorrow. Hope so, as we will both be dressed for summer  Hope everyone has a good weekend :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny at the moment.

Well as you can see we've had a lovely loooong lie in, so nice to have the house to ourselves for a couple of days, even if it is in a mess

Enjoy your yomp Ally.

Hope the wedding goes well Saundra.

Not surprised B is loving Vancouver Kaz, we loved it too. There's lots to do and see, hope she gets to Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge, easy to do on public transport. We also did the whale watch boat trip, amazing.

Washing's on the go and we're planning on a shopping trip shortly. Not my idea of fun on a Saturday, bound to be too busy, but we couldn't get it done Thursday because of the car and yesterday we were dealing with deliveries.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all, it was supposed to start raining here at noon according to the forecasts we've followed - it started at 9

We need to take Joe out to get kitted up for college shortly. He needs safety boots and some stationary. He starts on Monday so will order his workshop uniform then. Tom's working today, he had an early start - 6.30 - and finishes at 3.

Saundra, what a shame about the weather for the wedding, you can plan and plan and have everything but the weather under control. It's such a shame. Fingers crossed for the wedding you're at tomorrow Osc!

So pleased that Becky's enjoying Vancouver! Everyone who goes seems to really fall in love with the area!

Have a good day all!

Afternoon :)
Dull here, breezy but quite warm, rain due here too but tomorrow's meant to be lovely, and next week back to summer :D
It's a shame Saundra, but you just have to make the best of it don't you, hope it doesn't rain quite all the time, but there's a lot more than one wedding today will be wet. Fingers crossed for yours tomorrow Osc x

I'm busy, it's the Dawg dogs annual show tomorrow (the charity Minnie came from) and it's fairly near so I always try to make cakes etc for them. So today I've made banana energy bites (thanks Sainsburys), next is Rocky road and a big batch of cupcakes, and I think that'll do :)
Bb's working but should appear late afternoon with our Saturday pizza :D
Have a good day all

Afternoon all. Sorry I've been absent again after promising to post more. I struggle time wise now I've got a "proper" job. I finish at 4pm on a Monday and Thursday and I'm off all day Friday but I've always got so much to do that I don't get online much now - Tuesday and Wednesday I don't finish until 5.45 and by the time I've picked the dog up from my mums I don't get in until 6.30pm and then its straight into making dinner and doing sandwiches for the next day. By the time I sit down its around 9pm and I just want to do nothing. And I'm not allowed online at work so I can't even pop on occasionally throughout the day! I work every other Saturday so the weekends I'm not working are usually chocablock full of things!

Its very wet and miserable here today. I've been out for coffee with one of my old work colleagues to catch up on all the gossip there. Mick has taken S to buy safety boots for college. She did really, really well in her GCSE's - getting a B in English, C in Maths and D's in everything else (apart from Health and Social Care which she got an F in, as did the rest of her class so hopefully now something will be done about the rubbish teacher). She enrolled at college yesterday and although they offered her the advance animal care course she stuck with the intermediate one. She has the next four years mapped out - Broomfield for animal care for a year and then onto a different college to do Veterinary Care Assistant for a year and then Veterinary Nursing for two years. She has her induction next Tuesday and Wednesday when she will find out what days she will be doing (she only has to do 3 of the 4 days of the course as one of the days is for English and Maths retakes) and then she moves in on the 11th September!!!!

She is busy with a new job - working at a very, very lovely restaurant in town. She is earning about £50 a week without tips - and the tips are coming in at about £40 a week!

Lucy is at a friends house at a bbq (a very soggy one I think) and is due home with the friend later - she is staying here tonight as we are taking them to the country fair at Chatsworth tomorrow.

We are at last putting paint on the walls in the hall so hopefully next week we will be choosing a carpet.

All gets back to normal (what will be our new normal anyway) on 12th September - L goes back to school on Wednesday and S will be at college from 12th September so hopefully I will get into some sort of routine and be online more!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
