Morning all, no children today as we did yesterday and the day before, the childminder is on holiday. We both feel tired and as if we have colds coming on, so there is nothing particular planned. I will go to the library as I have books to return, plus one I want to get or order if it is out on loan. Weather looks mixed and I think there is rain forecast for later. Have a good day everyone :)

Poor D, no wonder she's been feeling so poorly - really hope she's feeling better for her holiday.

Hope Becky's cough eases. That's the annoying thing about air travel isn't it?! Those flippin' germs! I know when we went to Florida I started with a sore throat on our first full day there (I could take you to the very spot in the Magic Kingdom where I first noticed it and thought "Oh no...here we go...") which turned into a cold.
It's a shame she can't get a test any sooner. That reminds me that it's just about a year since Tom did his theory. He wanted to get that done before he started at uni and he applied for his test straight away after passing that and the first date he could get was the end of November. His instructor had advised him to avoid school run times and December, January and February (because of the risk of cancellations due to weather) if he could when booking it.
Good luck to her with her applications! xx

That's true about air travel. When we fly now, we put vaseline and lavendar oil around our nostrils (tea tree oil is good too) and it does seem to protect against the germs.

I think I'll give that a try Osc. I have First Defence but find that affects my throat sometimes, and I used it one time earlier this year, inhaled too deeply and had an horrendous headache.

We had a lovely time :D
Bb played hookey (well, moved some jobs around) so we all went to the Haven for lunch, it's so beautiful there, right in the yacht marina :D
There really should be a different word, 'sandwiches' doesn't begin to do them justice! Bb had rare roast beef, L and I crayfish; they come in wonderful bread, with what I call heroin chips - just one and you're addicted - and a big pile of lovely salad too :D
Proud of L, she's had some problems with agoraphobia for a good while now, so quite brave of her to negotiate the train etc. She'd done it once before, which helped, but not easy.

She's learnt to do it by counting Kaz, it's 12 paces from their front door to the gate, so she counts in 12s in her head, so it's 'just to the gate' each 12 steps.
It works quite well so long as it's a planned journey, to the bus or train for instance, not so well for just walking out of the gate with no set plan.
And helps no end when she knows someone is meeting her the other end, like today, it was 'once you're on the train that's it, Di will be there as soon as you get off'.
Once she's with someone else, she can do it.
Much better than it was x

Really glad to hear that she's getting better :) The counting thing is good, it's diverting her from the panic - excellent move xx
