Morning Ally, morning everyone

28 degrees is positively nippy for you Ally; but a nice nippy  Wish I could say the same about here; yesterday was really wet and grey whereas today is lovely and sunny, but only reaching 19 or 20 degrees so not overly hot. And last night we had the first single figure temps, it was 9 degrees when this morning when I got up. Autumn is definitely on it's way :(

I cannot believe that mom goes back today - these 16 days have flown by. We're off to Karl and Nadine's in a bit; it's Amelia's 10th birthday so we're going there for breakfast and then I'll be taking mom to the airport around 1ish. The worst part for me always is coming back to an empty house and not having anyone to talk to :(

Have a lovely day all and safe travels to D; hope she has an amazing trip Kaz x

Jalfrezi is one of my faves Ally, yum! :D

Safe trip home to your mom Ria, the hugs are for you ((((x))) Also, Happy Birthday to Amelia xxxxx

Saundra, we have sunshine but there is that real autumnal nip to the air!

Oh heck Ton, is it cooling down for you too, already? xxxx

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for D's holiday, she will be well on the road to Holyhead by now, for the ferry :) I have to wander up a couple of times while she's away, to water the tomatoes

Usual sort of Sunday here, we need a food shop so are off to Asda is a while. B's friend Jodie stayed last night - B met her at Critter Care but she is at Uni in Birmingham :D Small world eh? Not sure what the girls are doing, no sound from either room yet   Loads of stuff saved to watch on the player, GBBO for a start, so our day is sorted 8-) :)

Morning all, nice bright morning here but so autumnal. I was hanging out washing before breakfast and the sun was so much lower in the sky that it wasn't even on the part of the terrace where we sit, so we decided not to have brekkie out there. There's a dance on this afternoon but neither of us can muster up enough enthusiasm to go, maybe we will go for a walk instead. Hope everyone has a good Sunday :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Safe journey for you mum Ria and big hugs for you xx

Had a nice lie in this morning, no builders today. Having an M&S rotisserie chicken for dinner today, soooo nice to have a working cooker again. Eating out is lovely as a treat and on holiday, not nearly as much fun all the time. It does take a bit of organisation though, nothing is where it was so we keep going to the wrong cupboards

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, I did intend to post earlier but the morning didn't go as planned!

Tom did thanks Saundra, he texted me at around 1.30am from the station at JFK. He was waiting for the subway into Queens where his hostel is (it's right in front of it is the 59th St Bridge, the bridge from the opening scenes of Taxi and the Simon and Garfunkel song). He was going to check in and leave his bags before going exploring. I checked my phone again this morning when I woke up and there was a photo on Instagram of him in Times Square subway station. I looked again at 1pm and he'd posted an Instagram video entitled 'early morning walk' (it would be 8am over there when I looked so I don't know just how early he was out) and he was back in Times Square. His plan for today was to walk the length of Manhattan I think, from Central Park down to Battery Park. He didn't want to do it the other way around due to the memorials at Ground Zero which would be earlier in the day, he said he'd stay away earlier as it's something for the families, not tourists.

Hope that D has a good break Kaz, she certainly deserves it after the last few weeks xx
Ria, that's come around quickly, safe journey home to your Mom xx
