Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 16 Sep 2016, 05:49

Good morning. :D :D

Another gorgeous day forecast. 8-) 8-)

A quick swim then leaving at 10.30 to take mum and dad's 'stuff' over to their holiday apartment and then go the airport to meet them at 11.45. :D :D :D :D :D

We'll settle them in and then come back here.

I have a staff meeting at the Academy at 5pm which should last about an hour and then it's back to the airport to pick Jackie and Sue up! :D :D :D

Back home, dump their luggage and off we'll head into town for a night of revelry.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

No rain yesterday it stayed hot and sunny all day. It's started to rain now though, not heavy at the moment and no signs of the storms predicted......yet!!

Safe journey to your parents and friends Ally, sounds as though you're in for a busy time :D

The kitchen is looking lovely, will be even nicer when the floor goes down and all the finishing touches are done. Think the tiling starts next week. We're still in a mess, building stuff and furniture piled everywhere, but it's all beginning to take shape. Hopefully only another 3 weeks or so and we'll be done.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all - not much longer to go Ally and your parents will have landed. Have a fab catch up with them and safe travels to Jackie and Sue for later

Ton good luck with all your bits and bobs and hope you get the pool licence sorted and enjoy the coffee and catch up at the bar later
Happy birthday to D for today Kaz, hope she had a lovely time in Ireland?
Jen, wow - only three more weeks. Bet you cannot wait.

We had the mother of all thunderstorms last night - 5cm rain in about 2 hours and oh my goodness the thunder and lightning    The three indoor cats were hiding out under the bed. Not sure where Jamie was but she came in about 2am fairly dry so she obviously had found some shelter somewhere. But poor Monty came in a few minutes after Jamie totally soaked. I suspect he'd been hiding under the larger conifer in the front garden and despite my calling him he just wouldn't brave the dash through the downpour to come in. So he got soaked :( But nothing a cuddle with a towel couldn't sort. But my oh my - I don't recall a storm like that since living in SA; it was spectacular!

Usual work day for me and then home for a relaxing evening and hopefully a more peaceful nights sleep :D

Have a lovely day all xxx

Morning all! We've just had a downpour but it seems to be drying up now, which is a good thing as I've got a load of washing in the machine.

Had a lovely 4+ miles long walk with Billy this morning. It's been too warm to walk that far lately as it's really hilly through the woods and over the common so we've made the most of the drop in temperature. Joe's still in bed, he has no college until Tuesday.

Safe trip to your parents Ally!

Kaz, I hope D's had a lovely time and is feeling better :D Happy Birthday to her!

Ria, have a good weekend!

Ton, I'm surprised the coffee shop haven't sent out a search party for you :P

Jen, it must be great to see it all coming together now :D

Have a good day all!

Olivers on his first kea scout sleepover tonight. He only officially joined on Monday so I hope he's doing ok and is sound asleep right now being 11pm.

Sorry I did read everyone's posts, but it's too late in the night to scroll back on my phone to try and reply. So instead, I hope you all have a good day.

Hope he has a fab time Weka! Joe went on his first cub camp when he was about seven, his best friend had joined that week so they shared a tent. They had such a great time!

It's dried up here so I hung the washing out - I was glad to get back inside, it's a bit brrrrr out there and really breezy!
