Good morning! Have a good day Ally :D

It's quite misty here but forecast to brighten up. Just off to walk Bill and then it's home to cook a roast. Early lunch today before we move Tom back to Wolverhampton. I did him some shopping yesterday evening to keep him going until he can get to Asda tomorrow. It's right next door to the halls but will be closed by the time he's all moved. No baked beans or Pot Noodles. He needed salad stuff, fresh pasta and pesto

Have a good day all!

Morning Ally, morning Jo

Have fun with the girls Ally; sounds like it's going to be another perfect day x
Jo, we don't have mist here, but it's really grey and miserable. Apparently meant to clear up a bit later though, hopefully it will as I've got a few things I need to get done in the garden still. Off to get some groceries in a bit - I like to get there the moment the shops open as it's usually so much quieter and therefore quicker.

I'm liking Tom's choice of groceries Jo and good on him. I do feel for kids that have never learned to cook at home and then in this situation either manage to make the best of it and learn how to or do end up on that diet of pot noodles or constant cheap take aways.

Besides shopping and gardening not much else planned for me - may pop to Karl and Nadine's a bit later, but not sure.

Have a lovely day whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all :)

Have another great day Ally :D

Jo, I hope Tom has another great year at uni, and well done on his food choices :D

Hope it brightens up later for you Ria, it's grey here too and the last couple of days have felt much chillier!

We have food shopping to do as well, then this afternoon I have zumba - unusual on a Sunday, for me, but J is having a special zumba party to mark the anniversary of her classes, and it seemed a good idea when I bought my ticket .......

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all.

It's dull here at the moment but it should get brighter later.

We are off soon for our usual Sunday morning walk into town - bargain-hunting.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Morning everyone

Another hot day here - we have our summer back :Hi: :Hi:

Grumpy already out painting - in the shade and before it gets too hot. I've just got up   I don't normally have lie-ins, but just went back to sleep when he got up

Enjoy zumba Kaz - does that mean you miss one day in the week ;) ?

Have a great day Ally x

Good for Tom, Jo. When I was working with students it was amazing how many had not a clue about cooking.

Ria, enjoy your day off.

Not sure what I'll be doing. We may pop into Ourique to get a friend to sign a form from the uk pension pension to say that grumpy is alive and well   (they do this every few years) As he's chief of the local police force, it's probably better than the local chemist, as everyone else has, apparently, asked her. She must be fed up with us all.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Turned out nice and sunny yesterday, looks like we're having more of the same today.

Good for Tom, much better than the usual baked beans and oven chips. Is this his 2nd year Jo?

We've been watching the Paralympics for the past 11 days, it's been brilliant and Team GB have done so well 8-) It's the last day today so we'll be glued to the box for most of it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, it was lovely earlier on but has clouded over now and rain is forecast for the afternoon  We have a nice treat today though, for my birthday pressie Miss Osc is taking us on a tour of our local castle, this is the first year they have done tours and only on Sundays in August and September. Needless to say we had not organised ourselves to do it  It will be especially interesting for Mr Osc as his father worked on the castle farm over 70 years ago and his older sister was born while his parents were living in staff accommodation. There has been a golf course in the grounds for about 40 years, plus we would regularly walk there and it is where Mr Osc and Michael play golf, but it will be good to see inside the castle itself. This trip will be followed by tea and cake at a venue to be decided ;) Have a good day everyone :)

The website is not great, including misspellings, bad grammar and dodgy punctuation, plus they have not updated their events page

Thanks Kaz!

Ton, he's a great cook - I asked him to cook for us before he went back but we ran out of time what with him working full time and then having his week away. There's always Christmas

Yes Jen, this is his second year - can't believe just how quickly his first one went!
