Pardon the swearing, but....

Postby meriad » 23 Sep 2016, 11:06

Bloody Hell and Holy Sh*t

Our manager just came in to our office informing us that another colleague of ours was on his way out last night. He was in a cab with the window down, when some random person drove by on a moped and sprayed acid into the car. Thankfully from what we've heard our colleague is OK, so not sure if either very minimal injury or none - but still... :o :(

I know we cannot live our lives in fear but stories like this scare the living dayouts out of me.

What the fork is going on it the world?!

Anybody who has ever suffered an acid burn will know just how painful they are even during the time the acid is being neutralised before it can do any real damage.

Randomly attacking victims is right up there with the most heinous of crimes. Attacks are rarely fatal but their resullts can be life-changing for the victims.

I sincerely hope that your colleague is safe and well Ria.

thanks all - one of our managers has spoken to him and he understandably is in shock, but thankfully appears relatively unhurt and not in pain which is good news.

Saundra, I too hope that this was caught on camera somewhere - London certainly has enough CCTV all over the show.

It's just awful

Well the latest update is that they suspect it was amonia that was sprayed vs 'proper' acid. It did get into his eyes, but the hospital managed to flush them out really well and it appears not to have affected his vision. He does however apparently look like he's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson and lost each round; but that's a very small price to pay for what could have been so very very different.

His guardian angels were working overtime last night - he's one very very lucky guy
