Blackpool holiday

Postby AliasAggers » 01 Oct 2016, 20:11

On Monday morning I and my wife will be going to Blackpool for a five-day holiday
with a local coach company, to see the lights and also to do some sight-seeing in
the Lake District. As we do not take our electronic gadgets on holidays, you won't
be hearing from me for a week. Tomorrow we shall be busy deciding what clothes
to take and packing our cases, so I may not have a chance to log on here. We are
really looking forward to the break, and hoping to take lots of photographs. What
the weather will be like is anyone's guess.

See you later.

That sounds lovely Aggers, I do wish the lake district would move a bit closer to us - well, a lot closer :D

Well, this morning in West Lancs it is sunny with a blue sky and 8º rising to 15º later in the day.

I hope you get to some of the nicer places in the Lakes and not just Bowness. Have a lovely time.

That sounds lovely Aggers - Don & I had our first trip away together to there not long after we met. It was mid November and we struck really lucky with the weather. It was beautiful. :D

Blackpool holds alot of lovely family memories for us as we used to take the 3 boys there every year in the October school holiday week. :D

Aggers, if the weather sites are correct you have chosen a good week to be in Blackpool and the Lakes.

A double check with the long forecast on Countryfile should confirm.

Enjoy your break, and take some sun block and a parasol for W. :P ;)

We've just finished packing, Frank, and I don't think we've room for a parasol now. Our cases are full with all the best outfits suitable for the four-star hotel.

I hope you're right about the weather. We often have a holiday in October, which suits our interest in nature, Autumn being the most interesting time for us, as we are both interested in fungi, and we are usually blessed with good weather.
