Good morning, it's another beautiful Autumn morning here. Think I might need a coat when I walk Billy shortly though!

I'm considering cleaning some carpets today, we'll see, and I need to do the food shopping tonight.

Have a good day all!

Morning you lot :D

Saundra, I totally agree - blow the housework and enjoy the seaside. We're fast running out of lovely weather days so make the most of them. Enjoy your mooch around there.
Ally and Vic - jealous of your weather. As Jo says, the mornings here are lovely but really nippy now. We're down to single figures at night time now - brrrrrr
Jo, daft question - but if you clean the carpets at this time of year and given the temperatures; do you get them dry enough in a day given that it's not that warm anymore? I've got laminate wood flooring all the way through so don't have a carpet wash issue thankfully.

Usual work day for me, then collecting some chilli's from someone on the way home so I can start drying them and all mine to make chilli flakes. I do have a few of my own growing in the greenhouse but one of the plants is a scotch bonnet so extra super hot and I don't think it's wise mixing them with the regular chilli's. So now trying to scrounge more 'normal' heat ones :D

Have a lovely day all x

Ria, they dry VERY quickly! You barely feel any dampness after they're done. Can't speak for other cleaners though, just the Vax that I have. A good cleaner is essential with pale carpets (thanks builders, great choice in a family home!) and a dog

Morning all :D

Bit dull and overcast at the moment.

Enjoy your day at the seaside Saundra.

The new carpets look lovely. We've been sleeping in the spare room for ages now as it's the one with dubbed windows, but once the blinds are up tomorrow we should be able to move back. Steve had been well stitched so was back yesterday helping and putting the new wardrobe together. He's back to tiling today. More upheaval as he moves towards the lounge, but we can see the finish line getting nearer now.

Planning a trip the shops today, need to stock up, the fridge is almost empty.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, Kellie and Michael were here early as Miss Osc had to get a train at 8.45am. Mr Osc walked Michael to school and said it was really cold although it is quite sunny. Usual busy Thursday. Have a good day everyone :)

That sounds idyllic Kaz, so relaxing!

Ria, an update. I've done two floors (middle and top floors) and it took about 45 minutes. By the time I'd finished the carpets on the middle landing, which were the first I'd done, were dry. I'll do downstairs next week as that's where there's the most traffic. I just wanted to get them all done before we go away.
