Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 24 Oct 2016, 06:17

Good morning, :D :D

Don's taking Ed to the airport this morning as he's hiring a car for a couple of days to go to Ronda and then Tarifa - he'll be back on Thursday. :D :D

I shall take great delight in spending the day at home today after last night's shenanigans!

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, hope Ed has a great time touring round :) Enjoy your quiet day :D

Morning all :) It's Monday so it must be WW  I really enjoy the meetings these days, I help out behind the shop desk, taking the money and logging people in via the ipad, helping Emma out. I won't be paying for my meetings any more, now I'm doing this, which will save me £21 a month 8-) :D Half a stone from my healthy BMI target now, so still plodding on, slowly but surely, after my blip earlier in the year.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

Another late getting up morning  but as it's a grey, damp and thunderstormy type day, no problem

Well done Kaz xx it's always the last bit which is the hardest.

Not sure what we'll be doing today, depends on the weather, really. We need to go to a wood yard, but not much fun when it's chucking it down. And I still have that ironing to do

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. We are on our holibobs in Dorset so I have time to come on and read and post.

Since I got this new job I never have time. My work life balance is very much work rather than life! I am intending that will change though as I'm job hunting. I've applied for three jobs that I'm hoping to hear about this week. I want to be part time again - I hate the hours and Mick hates them more. I also hate the job and don't particularly like the people!

We've had a pretty rough time with something pretty awful happening to L and I've found the new boss to be incredibly difficult over me needing to take time off (and not much time at that - I kept it to two days - if I'd still been in my old job I'd have had at least two weeks) and that really was the push I needed to start job hunting. i was just going to tell them to shove their job but Mick talked me out of it. Thankfully with him being self employed he was able to take the time I couldn't to be off with L.

Anyhow, we are currently staying at a gorgeous cottage in Portland - the four of us, Millie and my mum. It's lovely having S with us - we don't see much of her now. she goes back to college on a Monday evening and comes home again Friday. She works Saturday and Sunday and then chills out in bed most of the day Monday!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Kaz, glad you're enjoy WW and really well done to you. I really should do something about trying to lose weight, but life is good
Ton and Vic, stay dry and warm whatever you're up to in your respective parts of the world
Debs, sorry you're not happy at work and you're right - you need to have a good work life balance. As much as I complain about my job, I do on the whole like the people I work with and I have a really good work life balance. So fingers crossed the perfect job comes along very soon. Hope L is OK now? (((hug)))

Surprise surprise - a usual work day for me    But meeting a friend for dinner after work which will be nice

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Dull but dry here.

So nice not to have to get up for the builders now they've finished, made the most of a long lie in this morning.

We thought Peter painter might pop in yesterday to present his bill as he finished while we were away, but instead he sent a big bouquet of flowers thanking us for the job. Still got the bill  but it was a lovely gesture. Of the three of them, he's the only one we didn't have any issues with, nice to finish on a high note. We're still waiting for a couple more things, the fireplace people will be back Thursday afternoon and hopefully the blinds will be fitted next week sometime, but that's it. Now it's just down to us to get things back to normal and sort out where everything fits. Think the driveway/garden peeps will be starting sometime next week, that's outside though so apart from the noise shouldn't be too much of a hassle for us..........shhhhh hope that's not tempting fate

Sorry to hear you've been having a hard time debih, hope things start to improve soon xx

Helping out at WW is a great idea Kaz, well done you for keeping at it.

We're off out to the shops shortly, need to stock up ready for the boys tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day :D
