Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 29 Oct 2016, 06:27

Good morning. :D

Sunshine, clouds and nice 'n' warm. :D :D

Today I am spending the whole day at home. Yep. Staying in and not going out. Until tonight.  Off to Jose's to watch the Malaga game at 7.30 then bring a takeaway campero and chips home. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

It's nearly morning here! 11.54pm and I'm going out to the shops in a minute

Just back from doing the zip line along Fremont St. I booked it a while ago and it didn't look that high online, we chose the higher line which is about 10 storeys high at the starting point. We got to the top with a few people to go in front of us and I decided that it wasn't for me. I knew I could close my eyes but it was the initial bit of pushing yourself off the 'bed' you had to lie on ( you go down vertically on the high one) to start going. One of the staff was going to take me down in the lift but I told him why I couldn't do it and he said that you don't have to push off, momentum takes you...so I got back into line and did it! It was a lot of fun, the line is around 1700ft long so it wasn't a short ride. Joe and I rode the roller coaster around the hotel earlier too.

Back to LA for our flight home, we're leaving here at around 9am. I can't wait to come back though!

Have a good day all!

I said vertically didn't I, that was wrong - you go down it horizontally so it's like you're flying. You'd love it!

Can't wait, we called in Walmart today so I got him a pressie :)

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Wow Jo, much as I'd love to have a go I know I wouldn't have the nerve to do it. I can imagine how exhilarating it must be though :D :D :D Safe journey home.

Ah memories of mods and rockers Saundra. I was definitely in the rocker camp, my sister was a mod, fun days :D

Loads of washing to do today, brought mother's summer clothes back last weekend and they've just been sat in a bag in the utility waiting to be done. The CH do a very good job with the laundry, but I like to give it all a really good wash and air before putting away for next summer.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all.

It's quite a decent day here, and we've been for a walk this morning,
done a bit of shopping, and I've completed the DM Crossword. What we
will do after lunch we haven't decided yet.

Have a nice day everyone, and don't forget to put your clocks back tonight.

Afternoon all, it's a dull day here, miss the lovely Nashville sunshine. I think jetlag has kicked in a little, we didn't wake up until just after 10am which is unheard of for us, and we both feel a bit sluggish. Yesterday we felt fine, even had the children for a few hours - Kellie walked in and called up the stairs "Grandad, have you got my present"  We had bought them Nike shoes and a teeshirt each and she took hers out with squeals of delight, insisting on putting on the shoes. Michael was rather more reserved, as befits a grownup almost 7-year old ;), he tried on his shoes but elected to keep them for playing golf. They were dressed for Halloween, will pop a pic on Photo board later.

No plan for the day, need to go and get milk, so will have a walk around the block to get some air. Otherwise I'll read while he watches (snoozes through) sport. Have a good day everyone :)
