Morning Ally and everyone

Mist clearing, going to be a lovely day - at the moment, I have a thin jumper on though ;)

Off to Castro Verde, for the market, later. We need to plant our winter veg, so will be buying cauli, brocolli, carrot, onion, beans etc. Also need to have a word with the vet in Castro, and need to pop down to the builders merchants there too.

Back home to pootle - no bending, my knees, back and hips are protesting rather a lot this morning  then out to dinner tonight. Should be interesting, I've not been out for dinner without a wine or three. Sticking to water will be a bit odd, but hey ho 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny today, hoping the driveway chaps can get a lot done this week as I think the forecast is rain next week, not ideal for them.

Afternoon tea yesterday was delicious, there were 20 of us, a really nice bunch of ladies. It's so nice to have little events like this to go to. This evening 19 of us are going to dinner at a Greek restaurant at the harbour. I haven't been before so it will be interesting to see if it's somewhere for E and I to try in the summer.

Before that, this afternoon E and I are off to the cinema to see the new Jack Reacher film. It's the second in the franchise and I've read all the books so know exactly what to expect. Oh and it stars Tom Cruise, a win win all round

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)

Enjoy your shopping Ally, I miss C&A!! :)

Ton, I must have missed something, why can't you have a drink with your dinner? Hope all is ok xxxx

Morning Jen, glad you had a good time yesterday with the ladies :D Hope the driveway stuff gets done, and that you and E enjoy the film :) xx

Well we have blazing sunshine too, but it's really chilly with it  I'm going to risk pegging some bedding out, but will probably have to finish it off in the dryer ;) Seeing my client later this morning, then might go for a mooch in the Quays afterwards if it stays fine 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Nowt wrong Kaz, thank you anyway. I can have a drink, just decided to have a complete break from the drinking beer and wine for a while. I got waylaid when we went down to the Algarve and also when John and Jane came up, but no booze and exercise means I've lost another 2 kilos and changed shape - for the better

Morning all

A really nippy start to the day this morning but the mist burnt off really quick (unlike the other two mornings) and we've now got an amazingly sunny, blue skies autumn day; love them!

Ally, enjoy the shopping
Jen, hope the movie is good - I enjoyed the books but did start getting a bit bored of them at one point. Glad you had a lovely time with the ladies and enjoy the dinner tonight. And being curious again; are you having a block paving drive or what are they doing?
Ton, good luck with the winter veg shopping. I've only planted brassica's once and ended up with a huge influx of Cabbage White moths / caterpillars and they left such a stinky mess. Never again in a small garden :D And enjoy the dinner tonight x
Kaz, fingers crossed the washing does dry on the line - so much nicer isn't it?

Usual work day for me and usual evening in.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all,

Hope all the shopping and social activities go well today. Jen, I’ve read the Lee Child books too but I’m a visual person when reading. I have one son who is 6’4 and I had an uncle who was 6’5. Cruise playing Reacher? It’s like Gibson playing William Wallace and I can’t get it out of my mind. It would ruin the movies so I’m not going to watch any of them.

Back to work today. Two reasons mainly, I have a consultant on site for his first day today and I had to vacate my AirBnB this morning so a surveyor could survey it as “unoccupied”. I’ve been living out of my suitcase and bags since Sunday night and enough of that is more than enough. I’ll probably leave early and head for bed, this cold is nowhere near over yet.

Have a great day all.
