Morning all, seems I am "First up, best dressed" this morning I woke early, it's bright sunshine here but f-f-freezing out there, with a frost! I'll be well wrapped up when I go out in a while, for Weightwatchers!

Rather cold here too, at 8C on the back terrace. But the sun is out and it's going to be in the mid 20's later

Morning Kaz, not so cold in London. I rode in on the bike but didn't need to put any of my warmer gear on, just the jacket and trousers. Wrap up well though, I got that habit in Stockholm.

My cold is almost gone although I woke up coughing in the middle of the night and had to take some more Benylin. I've brought it to work just in case.

The ministrations over the weekend have turned the bike from a pig which doesn't want to go and doesn't want to stop into very slightly mulish at times at walking pace and stops very well. So at least that is a result although I got soaked doing the work as rain came on when I stepped out and finished when I came in again. To fix the last little bit might require a tuning kit I'm not so enamoured of buying right now. So it can wait till I'm in the mood.

Just work today, nothing special.

Morning all

Very wet here this morning, already had a text from the driveway peeps to say there's not much point them coming in today. Looking at the forecast it's not going to be good for the next few more days.

Appointment at the hospital this morning, it's the follow up to the laser treatment on my left eye. I was supposed to see them 6 weeks after, not sure what happened, I had to chase them up and this was the earliest they could fit me in. Not very impressed, but luckily the eye seems fine so it should just be a routine visit. I can't drive for a few hours afterwards so was planning to get the bus, but if it stays like this it will have to be a taxi.

Nigel's due at 2pm to fit the rest of the blinds. When I spoke to him last Wednesday he'd received the verticals for the patio windows but was waiting for the roller blinds for the kitchen and bathroom. Hoping they've all arrived and he can get it all done in one visit.

Good morning, today's weather report is brought to you from a bitterly cold bus stop!

Just had a check up at the dentist. All good but it was yet another new dentist at the surgery and he was doing the hard sell on teeth whitening. Just waiting for the bus home now but according to the Arriva app it's running 20 minutes late.

Yes Kaz, dress up warm - I wish I'd bought my hat and put on my warmest coat!

Not too bad here temperature wise, but they're expecting -3 tonight where I am which means definite scraping car windows tomorrow morning.

Jen, good luck with the appointment today and fingers crossed Nigel does have all the blinds, that would be nice and one more thing you can tick off the to-do list
Jo, rather annoying when you go for a check up and you end up with someone determined to sell you something you don't really need. I assume your check up went fine so they're trying another way to make their money... gggrrrr

Usual work day for me and then a quiet evening at home. The weekend was super busy so it's nice to just come home and chill.

Morning all, beautiful sunny day here but cold. I am off out shopping - amazing how needing a couple of things from Boots turns into quite a list I am also looking for some winter skirts, I like those stretchy ones. I have a bag of clothes for the charity drop in TK Maxx, so it would be rude not to have a look around while there My boots are getting their first airing of the winter! Enjoy your day everyone.

Good afternoon.

It's flippin hot here!

Went for my run first thing and met old neighbours of ours who moved to the campo - they'd come into town for a bite of breakfast and shopping and asked me to join them.

They came home with me, I got showered and dressed and went back into town with them. We sat in the sunshine in the plaza and let the world go by.

I'm back home now to prepare a couple of exams for my B2 students tomorrow evening and when that's done I'm going to sit in the garden and read.

Work tonight 6 - 9.
