Free speech for all....

Postby Workingman » 17 Nov 2016, 16:03

... so long as it is the 'correct' sort of free speech, and that is defined mainly by unknown and self-elected censors. They are particularly agitated by the "alt-right" to the point were they have got social media sites to close down accounts of members that are identified as alt-right. Most notably Twitter!

So, what is alt-right? It is probably easier to say what it is not. For example, it is not a political ideology. It has no HQ, no membership forms to fill in, no subs to pay. It has no central committee or conferences or board of directors.

Then what the hell is it? Now here's the rub - it is anybody outside of the mainstream. That could be you, me, Uncle Tom. We can be alt-right part of the time, all the time or for a split second... it all depends on what we think on any topic. We can even be alt-right without knowing it, until the censors point it out. The only thing well have in common is that we will be 'of the right' but the right of what is not defined.

To label someone as 'alt-right' is the new 'racism' the new 'homophobia'. It is the modern way to shut down debate, and it is being done by what I will call, the 'ctrl-left' (control+left). It is the most dangerous extension of PC to date and is being aided and abetted by the media. Shutting down blogs and social media accounts is the sign of its success.

And we were told to worry because the Internet was lawless and like the wild west.

Now we're finding that the Internet is the ultimate control mechanism for governments and left wing control freaks.... Now we are all there and other medium is falling by the wayside we realise that control of the internet is 1,000 times easier than control of, for instance, discussions down the pub.

Enjoy!

... and meanwhile, the BBC, at local and national level, rumbles on regardless with feelgood pro-immigration stories ......

Recent classics have been majoring on the claim that 431,000 of the 454,000 new jobs filled have gone to (mainly EU) migrants is "superb for the economy", whilst ignoring the fact that only 5% of the jobs went to UK born folk, and failing to mention that those 431,000 migrants might just have put terminal pressure on the dire state of the affordable housing market .....

Of course there is always the other way for the courts to punish the Right leaning parties.

The fairly left of centre French courts have upheld Marine Le-Pen's fathers right to be honorary president. Damaging Marine's chances of being the actual president herself.

And they say the courts don't do politics..... They lie!

I dont understand the logic behind low paid jobs done by migrants as being good for the economy. Other considerations surely must be taken into consideration, i.e. top up benefits paid for by the taxpayer to bring these low wages up to a living wage, child benefits either here or sent back to the home country, housing, schooling, general practitioner appointment, hospital admission, etc.

Long term low paid jobs sure medsec, but short term? They use this to get around the minimum wage and keep the wages bill down. There is a reason why inflation does not rise when we keep ramping up the minimum wage by 2 or 3 times inflation.

Simply put it is because there is a significant portion of the market which uses immigrant labour to get around these rates.

That's another reason why |I want to get out of the EU. So we can stop pushing our own people out of work and really feel the impact of these "social" rules we keep on pushing. If we are going to do these things I would much rather we are honest about it and pay the price than we lie about it and leave a whole generation or two without work whilst sucking in more and more millions of part time immigrants.

Meds, this is the line being pushed by business. It was on Sky's Ian King Live and the BBC's News 24 business section. Neither broadcaster made any serious challenge to the claims, they were largely accepted as factual and true.

Suff is basically right. There is a rolling programme of short term migrants, mainly young and single. They come in and take on rental properties at the lower end of the market then fill them to the rafters. They take jobs with multiple agencies allowing them to work as many hours as they like. This all sounds like hell, and it probably is, but they are doing it to make money to secure their futures, often back home.

I have seen this first-hand when working for Royal Mail and when helping a friend set up a lettings agency. I also use a Continental supermarket for my herbs, spices, sauces and things. The busiest 'till' is often the money transfer station where wads of cash, hard cash, are sent home. I do not blame the migrants, BTW, they have seen an opportunity and are taking it. I do, however, blame the system and the liars in business and government who support it.
