Tennis in the UK

I must say I'm +1 on this article in the Telegraph on Judy Murray and the achievements of Andy and Jamie. Brothers, #1 in the world at the end of the season. Never happened in the UK or even close.

Reading the article I'm not in the slightest surprised that the facility Judy is trying to set up is not being supported by the Scots local government. I wonder if Sturgeon will get behind it or not. After all Andy presents himself as British not Scottish...

I've stayed in the Cromlix and it's a really incredible job Andy has done with it. All the staff are Scots and local to Dunblane.

When I look at what is happening with the British Davis cup team, 3 men in the top 100 two in the top 50, it's incredible. Andy is spending more and more time coaching British Davis cup players and that is reaping rewards in British tennis overall.

I must admit a decade ago I never thought we'd be where we are.

We don't appreciate him as much as we should. He's the best we've ever had and he seems to be putting something back as well.

Yes, we should be very proud of our Andy.

Mrs A and I are keen on watching tennis. And snooker.
