Good morning Saturday (New Year's Eve)

Postby Ally » 31 Dec 2016, 06:35

Good morning. :)

Day off from exercising.

Conor is taking Don & myself out for lunch - once we've watched the old firm game. 2 Celtic fans and a Rangers fan = much ribbing!

Early evening Conor is going over to Lucia's to see the new year in with her and her family. Don & I are meeting David and a load of friends to go to the Plaza for 11.30, do the eating of a grape and a gulp of cava with each chime at midnight (I've never once been able to manage it! ) then it's off to Jose's for a hooley. 8-)

We were going yomping on Monday but David is down to work so we're going tomorrow instead - there could well be some staggering on the mountain top!

Have a great day everyone and wishing you all a peaceful, healthy and happy 2017. xxx

Good morning!

It looks like it'll be dull here. I'm taking Bill out shortly and John's off on a bike ride. Tom's working so he'll go out at around 10.30. Think I'll watch the Old Firm game with Joe and there's also a Tiramisu to prepare. We'll probably call in to see my parents at some point too.

Have a good day all! Hope that 2017 is good to you all xx

Morning all :)

Looking a bit damp and grey here, the thick frost of the past few days has disappeared. We'll be out later for some lunch, and a mooch, firstly we need to pop in to D's and adjust the heating, as she'll be back today. Mick's brother J and his wife will be with her, and we're all going out for a meal tomorrow :)

Tonight will be quiet, with just us, so have a lovely evening everyone, whatever you are doing, and I wish you all health and happiness for 2017 :) :)

Same here Kaz, there is no frost left.

The party last night went better than expected, but today only holds recovering from a hangover and a bit of shopping. Gently does it!

Morning all :)

Damp and miserable here again today, no actual rain though which is good.

We're off to a dinner/dance here tonight http://www.botanybayhotel.co.uk/ We've booked a seaview room for the night, it will be lovely to wake up to a nice brekkie and fabulous views tomorrow.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year :D

Morning :)
It started off dull and horrible here but has cleared beautifully, it's now sunny and bright and not as cold :)

Glad you enjoyed the party after all Cromwell :)
Jen that looks lovely, and perfect for blowing away any cobwebs with a walk in the morning :)
Nothing much doing here, Bb's just gone up to the village to get the paper and some cream, I'm making a pudding to take to the party tonight.
I have an orange liqueuer cake so am going to layer it with blueberries and orangey cream, think that should work :)
Have a good day all, and enjoy seeing in the New Year or not, as you please :)

Morning everyone

Rather late on parade - we just got up

Lovely morning, misty earlier on, now a lovely sunny day.

I'm off twig gathering later, as we're expecting a wet week next week and I don't want the wood to get wet

The car port staining/varnishing/painting has been done, so we'll dismantle the scaffolding and hope to see Steve later, so he can come and collect it.

Off down to the bar for duck and rice later.

Hope yoiu all have a lovely day and evening and wishing us all a very good New Year xx

Our frost went by yesterday morning Kaz. Now it's just back to being muddy when we go for a walk.

Good afternoon all.

We've been into town this morning, to stock up our food supply for the new year, and got quite a few bargains from M&S.

Haven't yet decided on whether we will stop up to see the New Year in. (doubtful, though.)

Hope you are all O.K.

Wish you all a very happy 2017.

Good afternoon everybody.
It is 1.00 p.m here in Nassau in the Bahamas. Lovely and sunny.
We are having dinner with one of the ships officers this evening. There are lots of different parties on the ship to celebrate New Year. Some will go on till early morning. We are at sea on New Years day so a lot of passengers won't be getting up early.
Best wishes
Speak to you all next year
