Terribly sad news

Postby Osc » 06 Jan 2017, 18:28

There is a jewellery shop here in Howth owned and run by a young Italian man, Omar, married to an Irish girl, with two quite young children. Mr Osc bought me some lovely jewellery there and Omar designed and made Mr Osc a super replacement wedding ring a good few years ago. Plus of course he was a customer when we had the post office, a lovely young man and very talented.

Miss Osc called in earlier on and told us that Omar has died tragically while on a skiing trip with his family. :( Apparently he was not very keen on going away, but his wife persuaded him, saying he need not ski but could enjoy the break. It seems that she and the children went skiing on Wednesday and he set off for a walk but didn't return. His body was found later and it seems as if he fell and hit his head - he was only 43  Life can be so cruel.

Oh Osc, that's very sad  My heart goes out to his family, can't begin to imagine how his wife is feeling after persuading him to go.
Life really is cruel

That is sad. The poor man, 43 is no age, and what his wife must be going through now.
