Sugar Puffs!
Bought a box this week for the first time in ages, just opened them and they're tasteless. Not a hint of honey flavour. I know they've reduced the sugar content and the box states it's a new recipe but they've gone too far.
The rest of the box is going in the bin.

I hardly buy any ready meals, I don't have a sweet tooth, and I hardly use any salt when cooking, but even I have noticed that things have less taste since the action on obesity thing kicked in.

The very worst ones are those proclaiming "New and improved recipe". "New", probably. "Improved", they are having a laugh.

I never buy ready meals, it's just as easy to cook from scratch.

Had a pleasant surprise today.
The post came and there was a birthday card for Joe, but it was in one of their plastic "Sorry, something went wrong blah blah blah..." envelopes. I recognised the writing as being from Joe's Godmother, my friend Al, so knew there should be money in there but fully expected that, seeing as the envelope had been ripped open, it would be gone.
Wrong! I had a sneaky look (his birthday isn't until Monday) and there's a £20 note still in there.

Jo, I was on a contract with the main mail sorting office for Leeds. Security is very tight, cameras and so on, and the punishments for mail tampering are draconian. Loss of job, taken to court and if found guilty, locked up for quite a while. If the damage happened on a RM premises it is no surprise everything was in the bag. Nice to know, though.

Glad Joe's parcel was, even though damaged, was complete.

Frank, it was very surprising because we've had three parcels go missing since December. Unfortunately not tracked so who knows where they'll have fallen out of the system, but two could've been mistaken for items of clothing (they were parcels of wool) if someone wanted to take them.

Oh dear :(
Not sure if you've noticed Saundra but at one time I used to get sent loads of coupons by Tesco - money off and extra points - on a regular basis but haven't had any in a long time and I rarely get coupons at the till now when the receipt is printed. They've also closed their Orchard review panel, I used to get vouchers for free items which then had to be reviewed but that's no more now.
