She posts on fb Jo, apparently her login is still valid here; I've mentioned to her a couple of times that she should come back but she seems to have given us up.

Yes, Kate's still a member and I tweaked her settings to keep her logged in so she wouldn't get locked out again, but as Di says....... :?

Thanks Di and Kaz, it's a shame that she feels that way :?

Oh heck Saundra, I need my strawberries in the Summer!
Having said that, the bilberry bushes on the common are loaded with berries. They're a right faff to pick though being so small!

We do Saundra, but it's too hot to handle in the summer, so the shutters are kept shut until about 8.00pm

We also have a blind on one window, as well as shutters, as the summer sun is too hot. But love it in the winter :Hi: :Hi:

My flat is meant to be a 2 bed flat, but I'm using it as a 1 bed. The main bedroom is quite large and I have that as my lounge (facing the front garden and road)... on a lovely sunny day that room gets the full morning sun but then once the sun moves round it's shaded and actually quite a cool room.

My bedroom and the dining room are at the back of the house and they get from midday onwards. The bedroom is fine because I've got blinds so it keeps it cool, but the dining room has large glass sliding doors and no curtains so it can get really warm - lovely esp in the winter; but there are (admittedly not many) summer days when it can actually be too warm

But I'd rather be too warm than too cold

We have the sun on the front of the house up until early afternoon and then it moves around onto the back garden for the rest of the day.

Ria, I'm the opposite. I'd rather be cold than hot.

My flat is also two bedrooms, but like Ria I have turned one into a dining room. It and the utility rooms - kitchen, bathroom and toilet are all at the back. The lounge, main bedroom and my little office space are at the front, and it faces due south.

On sunny winter days it gets hot enough not to have the heating on, but in summer it can be Hell. I need windows open and curtains drawn just to keep the heat down. I am a bit like Jo in that I prefer 18-19 degrees rather than something in the 20s.

I'm with Ria, and would MUCH rather be warm than cold! ;)

The living room here is double aspect, we have large, almost room-width patio doors at one end, facing SW, and a window at the other end, so always get the sun from somewhere :) The kitchen-diner has the double aspect windows, as does our bedroom, which is directly above the living room and exactly the same size.

Our house is lovely and light, it was the first thing that struck me about it, when we viewed on a January day!
